9:06 The Divine "Comedy" was so called because the ending of the divine ended happily with the MC finally reaching heaven - not because the material being discussed was particularly happy (they had to go through hell, then purgatory, before reaching heaven, so yes, they aren't going to be happy-go-lucky topics, but very heavy topics discussing death and its consequences). Still has the same meaning then as it does now, so Dante Alighieri was just being poetic with his title because his character ended happily. Ultimately, it's not wrong, because isn't all the sufferings and pains that you suffered merely a joyful occasion if, in the end, you reach the place where you belong? It just makes the suffering worth it. If you haven't read it before, try and find a copy. It's originally in Italian (and the Italian rhymed!) but there are English copies available. The Divine Comedy is where that popular line "abandon all hope ye who enter here" comes from and it refers to the gates of hell.
