Your switch statement is pretty clean (I'd move DeactivateAllUI to the top outside of the switch) but it's not a state machine because the UI isn't going from one state to another. If you had popups that depended on each other then you would need a state machine to control what order the popups appear. That would be UI state machine.

Keep up the progress! I love how you have the Karate training bits right in the middle of the vlog. So cool to be able to back flip like that.

Adding in aliens to fight off is such a good idea. It'll lead to some pretty cool gameplay especially if you can build rooms and get upgrades that help fight them off (but I can see how that might defeat the purpose)

I really like the idea of the sucky alien lowering the productivity and it would be cool if you'd expand this. Maybe something like different aliens that lower the productivity for the different rooms, or maybe allow the player to invest in a defence system that could maybe prevent the alien from decreasing productivity for a few seconds, or maybe strengthen the player's clicks when killing them. Anyways, another awesome devlog ;D

Can't remember the last time I was this early. Forgive me if I'm being a little presumptuous. But seeing the switch/case statement on 0:56 I see the DeactivateAllUI function in all the cases. It'll probably be cleaner if it was in the function if it's used in all the cases. Unless there's something planed later down the line. I can't help but be technical.

Also: Leecher might be a better name.

I think it would be cool to be able to eventually add some kind of automation to the removing of the aliens which you might call absorbigons or something with a classic alien feel like that. Also.... nice singing. Twas beautiful.

I think it would be a great visual addition if you 1) connect adjacent tiles to make one bigger room 2) make the outline of the tiles look like a building. Eg 10 floors with a width of 3 will look like a scyscraper.
