"you're seeing quite far into the future" is one of my favorit lines and it made my already huge respect to Katakuri double

@sigma2503

I wish you mentioned how their abilities compliment their ideology and strength during a fight. Mochi the versatile substance that is beaten to perfection and Rubber the substance that refuses to change after being beaten.

@kitsunekage12

'Everyone has an equal right to change the future.'

Honestly, that's probably the hardest line I think Bege drops in the whole series right? Like that line and that closeup shot of him really sells the idea that 'any one of the Supernovas could have been the protagonist of their own series' because in that moment Bege hits a whole lot like an alternate take on Luffy, and his previous actions (destabilizing various crime families in the West Blue for seemingly no reason other than wanting to watch the chaos) is given some kind of additional context - Bege saw the opportunity to change the future and he took it, time and time again, until he reached the place where he stands today.

@TheFrizor

I love the Mugiwara no goofy explanation of why Katakuri conceded:

He used future sight and saw that he could kill Luffy. He also saw that Gear 5th happens after Luffy dies. Seeing that he just said: fuck this shit, I'm out.

@ZealothXyven

I don't count him as a Villain, he was protecting his family and fought with honor and extreme skill. This was one of the best adversaries Luffy has ever had the fortune to cross paths with, he helped teach Luffy in one of his most valuable Haki abilities to date.

@Rjm00

Katakuri isn’t even a villain guy was just defending his family

@annache250

Know he’s technically a minor villain, but I would love a video about Bellamy since his interactions with Luffy on Jaya island is essential for understanding the theme of dreams in One Piece plus his appearance at Dressrosa.

@demnuts8392

Liam literally I'm not even lying like a half hour ago I'm like he hasn't dropped a One Piece villain tier list in quite a bit I hope he drops one today and it's Katakuri couldn't ask for more lol.

@Iam_scaro

I love katakuri, his own growth as a character to me is so special, he is definetely one of my favorite antagonists 😌

@operationb.e.n6480

"you're looking too far into the future" was always funny to me, because it felt like Katakuri was saying it to himself too; he really believes in Luffy lol

@Nightlingbolt

I would go so far as to say that Katakuri is a good 75% of the reason the fandom started stanning Bege. That kind of line makes faves out of most characters in fiction.

@MessioticRambles

1:07 I’m sorry, please delete this from my memory.

@romulus-l2g

After years of having OP in my backlog, I decided to read it after hearing how good the Katakuri vs Luffy fight was (in the manga at the time)

I was impressed that the best fight on the show was this late, so I decided to give it a go an read OP.

And call it Future Sight, but this arc, fight and character became my favorites of the series thus far, fantastic video, it really explains greatly what I love about this character.

@eckhosierschula1529

15:22 I'll never forget when giratina showed up to see the ultimate stretchy duel

@siriuslyorion2975

He is here! The child of prophecy!!

@calebredhead2954

Really appreciate you making this video and properly breaking down this master piece of a fight for real ❤ this is why katakuri reminds my favorite character in one piece....his development was simply phenomenal

@Midoriyastuff

Katakuri is definitely in my top 3 favourite One piece antagonists. The guy elevated the Whole cake island arc and has one of the best fights with Luffy. His design, devil fruit and haki combination was really cool and diverse. Plus Katakuri was such a well written and intriguing character you could really grow to love. Also his dynamic with Luffy especially in showing respect, Katakuri's final scene and theme are all amazing. Yeah if it wasn't obvious I'm a Katakuri fan

@TRAILLER

Plus he is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita the VA for young Joseph Joestar, whose battle MO is to deduct his opponent moves before they get to it. Also the "you are going to say [X]" catchphrase.

@fo4809

21:47 nice Gyratina in the background😂

@Kummiwummis

I like the idea that katakuri used future sight to see what would happen if he kept fighting, saw gear 5, and said “hell naw”
