If you do something similar again, if you leave the last bit of the shark corpse it takes longer for the shark to respawn (it despawns the corpse before starting the respawn timer), Also, it is possible to kill the big bear rather than distracting it, but it is really difficult. Only really useful if you want the achievement.

I know it doesn’t help you (Reid), but anyone who tries this challenge: When placing something, move the point of your cursor to the very corner so that only ¼ of whatever you’re placing is on the raft. Then turn it 45 degrees and bam, you saved a lot of space. And you can craft a one-time-use throwable anchor out of some stone and plastic, which uses a tiny amount of space. And a very helpful trick many rafters don’t know: If you poke Bruce right when he charges at you, he won’t hit you. It takes some practice, but saves you a lot of damage

Fun tip: you can loot Bruce for everything except the shark head, and he'll leave you alone until his body despawns, and after the regular 5 minutes

Raft is a really cool game. I would love to see a series where every episode you pick s challenge from the comments and use that for the episode. Would be funny to see how the raft looks at the end with all the challenges haha.

me and a mate of mine have done this exact thing but on hard mode where more sharks spawn every time one dies, its highly difficult to feed both of us but a strat when theres 2 people on a boat is to have a bed and make sure you dont die at the same time as eachother lol. we've completed the game like this and i suggest you try it too (not just reid, but you, the person reading this) its the most difficult thing we can think to do in vanilla raft

Btw the sail doesn't make you move faster, it only allows you to direct the raft. Only engines allow you to move faster

once you pick up a blueprint it automatically gives the the recipe so you can chuck it away straight after it goes in your inventory

Actually, Bruce respawns after 3 minutes. But you can extend the time to 8 minutes if you don'T fully loot him and leave the head. Because it takes 5 minutes for the shark carcass to despawn and then 3 minutes after the shark carcass is gone, the next Bruce spawns.

Really enjoyed this! Would be cool to see you try and do the rest of the chapters with minimal footprint too! Maybe have a limit to how many storagechests and such. With the new crossbeams you should be able to build something pretty interesting :)

I beat all the way through Tangaroa with NO raft foundations. It takes forever, and you need dozens and dozens of paddles, but it is possible. I haven't tried going further yet, but I still have the save so maybe someday I'll beat the entire game of raft with no raft... Also, put your first crop plot under your research table to stop the dang birds. Also, also... Bruce will not attack your raft if you are not on it. The 5 min counter still runs so he'll attack it immediately when you get back on. Dang it, another edit: don't harvest Bruce's head. There is both a despawn AND a respawn timer for him. Sail does not increase speed. This was a fun video, small points aside. You got a new sub.
