I love that no matter how much set up and research and travel they go through, at the end of the day its a bunch of mates meeting up in a field to blow stuff up and that's beautiful.

@nebula0024

Dude, the SOUND some of those made. So cool. You guys should make a "Best of Sound" compilation video. ♥

@jkoeberlein1

Holy freaking cow! The flame and shock wave through the gel was amazing!

@sethwho1803

That bowling ball scared me, and I wasn't even there. I felt their concern about where it was going to land! Love the videos, keep it up!

@christinapolander4025

In the 1800s, in America, they had a tradition called "The Ringing of the Anvil" because fireworks were too expensive to obtain beyond the reaches of large cities. It was called the ringing of the anvil because if it gets spinning in the right way, it rings (much like the second launch (2:43). They achieved it with two anvils, one upside down with gunpowder inside, and the other resting on top of it, upright

@boardmandave

That bowling ball went to the stratosphere I can't believe how long it was in the air you guys are crazy and I love it

@pyro1155

I'm from Mississippi and I can confirm this is a thing. We have a flywheel festival twice a year where they launch those suckers. If you ever get the chance to see it in real life, it's amazing!

P.S. The 3 leg dog's name is Lucky and we drink sweet tea. We can go to my mama's house, she makes the best.

@howridiculous

How much powder? 🎵

@tinee9

Just the sound of that last anvil was satisfying. Also watching the bowling ball be in the air for a long time was wonderful.

@brandoncolemire4220

7:43 “When you lose the “P” but the “F” is good” 🤣🤣🤣 that line might simultaneously be the dirtiest and funniest thing said on this channel. Bravo, Gents, Bravo.
Again, 🤣🤣🤣

@martinbolstadrosseb6681

The sound of those anvils just as they launched, especially the first one, made me feel some kind of way

@howizee

I think Gav and Dan may need to have a go at the ballistic gel launch. See what they get with their gear.

@harrysmbdgs

14:08 you can hear the Doppler effect as the ringing anvil accelerates away, so cool!

@BealsScience

I absolutely love the “I wonder what would happen if…” mentality! I think we tend to lose that as we get older, but HR reminds not to lose that!!!

@patiolunch

the pacing of this video felt great to me, i liked how there was minimal intro and straight into clear good shots of the action

@gretchinduncan7235

The ballistics gel in slowmo was flippin’ amazing! 🔥

@harrysmbdgs

The visible shockwaves are brilliant!

@ky_guy

Hell yeah, best part bout Australian YouTubers is I can catch your uploads on time

@IfonlyIwassmaller

For a solid 45 seconds it was just “How much powder? 1 pound!” I love it hahaha cracked me up.

@Homerboy44

Fun fact: Launching anvils into the air was a way to certify test anvils, and this was also why the "falling anvil gag" on older cartoons existed.
