this reminds me of a day in 7th grade, my teacher was out and i had a substitute and everyone was talking during the final announcements. The substitute then yelled out whoever talks during the announcements will be held until the hallway is completely empty. I (kid who didnt talk AT ALL) was held and missed my bus, needless to say the sub was fired and was never seen again.

Fun fact, In most states it's illegal for a teacher to hold students more then five minutes after school because then it's seen as kidnapping and the kids being held hostage. And yes the kids are allowed to call the cops in this situation unless it's a detention which is allowed to be longer then five minutes.
