They didn’t “change time”. By defeating the whispers they made it possible for alternate timelines to exist. Zack exists in a completely different timeline now, outside of the main one. In our timeline he’s still dead.

The best part about this is how much people are talking about it and all the theory crafting and speculating idk how other people feel but I’m glad we’re getting something new to think about rather than sitting around for a couple years on a story we already know I would still be happy either way but I love the discussions it’s created

Finally a reaction that was excited about Zack being alive and excited for the new part! I wish more people appreciated this game and the story it was trying to tell because it's going to be so good! Its called Remake because they are remaking their own destiny! As Aerith said: "Boundless, terrifying freedom." I cannot wait.

I can't believe how a lot of people hated this remake... i absolutely loved it every damn second... this is just genious... This is my Goty i don't care if Cyberpunk is going to release this year, FF7 remake is the game that i waited my whole life and it was AWESOME! The way it respects the original story and remake it the way it is going to be told like the original game is the "bad ending of this universe" they can now do whatever they want. 7 seconds till the end it's clearly meant to be Aerith's death and the time that Sephiroth takes to fall down. Or it can mean the seconds till the meteor crashes. Both things are just MASTERMIND! I loved your reaction and i non stop crying every single time that the original ost where remastered... AMAZING.

PLEASE, Sephiroth for Smash. I would love that. Also im PERFECTLY fine with retcons if they happen with Zack and Aerith being a alive, same Biggs and Jessei too, as long as ALL the Bosses and Summons back from the 2nd half of FFVII, then its awesome.

I want to point out since a lot of people think Aerith will still die, Red said in the final battle that the vision of the world from the original game (where all humans die out after a few centuries) is the bad ending. This only happens because the life stream is used to stop meteor, and THAT only happens because Aerith isn't alive to cast Holy herself. I don't think they'll kill her until the very end during or after she uses Holy, if it comes to that. I don't think a lot of people realise that in the original you win the battle by defeating Sephiroth and Meteor, but you killed the planet anyway and lost the war.

I love how the song doesn't say "Sephiroth" until you have both Tifa and Aerith, it strings you out and make you wait for the pay off.
