I saw Marshall's perspective classes online that he did at Cal State Fullerton when I was living in China. They were posted on a Chinese site called Baidu. The lectures were so amazing and he communicated with such superb clarity and enthusiasm that I got very excited about teaching and about perspective. The only problem was, since it was a Chinese website, I couldn't read the details on who was doing the teaching as it was all in Chinese. So there I was, watching a genius, but I have no way of finding out who it is or where he was teaching it. It was only years later when I got back from China to the US was I able to find out his name. Sure glad I did because Marshall is an inspiration and an amazing teacher and communicator, let alone artist. Thank you Marshall for helping me a better teacher!

This is amazing to see. Back then the barrier of entry was higher so the competition was lower. Now the Barrier of entry is low so the competition is higher.

You know those paychecks really hit when Marshall laughs about it decades later as if he had just deposited them in the bank. 😂 Amazed that somebody could be THAT precise with airbrush work. Those illustrations are so clean.
