I'm getting the feeling that every interview question is the hardest interview question.
I always wanna ask "well what do you wanna know" cuz i hate wasting time on dumb questions
Lol why are the simple questions always the hardest to answer, though! But don’t worry, I got you with my simple, 3-part template: 1️⃣ Past 2️⃣ Present 3️⃣ Future ❌ Don’t ~Ramble ~Repeat your resume verbatim ~Bad-mouthing previous employers/coworkers/clients ~Dwelling on irrelevant information ~Overshare ~Be unprepared ~Be vague ~Brag (but do be confident) ✅ Do: ~Tell a story. ~Add in some humor, self-deprecation & levity. ~Describe their next ideal hire. ~Use keywords from the job description. ~Talk about your future ambitions. ❌ Don’t describe yourself ✅ Describe their next favorite hire 📚 if there’s one thing humans love, it’s a good story. Script yours out, practice it, me memorize it! You got this! 👏
I had a job interview yesterday and did exactly this. Just got a call. I got the job!!! Thank you so much, Erin. Your channel helped me so much with preparing and staying mentally strong <3
I totally always answer this by giving a quick recap if my life, emphasizing the moments that made me want the job I am applying to.
Thank you so much, Erin! You always give the best advice and I love it when you say "You got this! It makes my feel like I've got my best friend cheering me on. ❤
Can you give some more how-to tips specifically for those who just graduated? I don't know how to present myself other than "I have a master's degree"
I've had so many interviews after which I get an email saying that they hired someone else, but then they keep the job posting up, constantly updating it, and claiming that they are urgently hiring. That just makes me feel lied to.
Dude this is so helpful! I got asked this at an interview once and I just panicked and said my name and paused 😅
So I interviewed about seven years ago at my previous job and this is how I answered that question right? The interviewer stopped me, said “I did not ask for the cliff notes on your resume. Really, tell me about yourself” 😳😂 and here I thought I went in so prepared - yet when he said that I was at a complete loss. I still got the job though but that threw me off big time 🤷🏻♀️
Erin! Can you cover the question “what is our risk in hiring you”. I know it’s uncommon but the Glassdoor reviews for this company I’m interviewing for has it listed several times
I was a store manager and had this one interview where when i asked the girl this question all she talked about was her church and faith... I still hired her because the COO was desperate for new people and she ended up being the best employee 😅 but i definitely would not recommend her approach lol this was a special case
Your advice had helped me land an important internship. Like, I just got the confirmation letter while watching this lol
I can never go to an interview, I'm 23 but still need to finish school and I don't have any experiences at all to share when I get asked this lmao
What if you're not in your field of choice, how do you feign passion and interest? Very tricky.
Hi Erin, I used this template for a recent job interview and got the job straight away. Can confirm, it works! For context, I live in Australia
Why is this only popping now 😭 My interview was earlier this month 😅 Thx Erin ❤❤
Virgo rising 🤣 💐
I recall purposely answering the questions in a stupid manner in order to not get the position because the boss was a perv and he not once looked at my face during the interview.
