People usually bleed from their gums when they don’t floss as they should. Maybe she doesn’t floss normally. I floss everyday, I don’t bleed and I think I might be a bit more rough when flossing, lol.

Ehhhh pretty sure you’re not supposed to disrupt the gum and tooth line like that every day LOL makes it easier for bacteria to enter and cause infection (especially with all that bleeding!)

I'd be afraid of getting splinters from the tooth pick under my gums giving me an infection. Recycling a tooth pick for a week or two seems odd to me . They aren't that expensive and you get a bazillion of them in a packet. X

My dental hygienist does something similar but with a drill-thingy. For myself: electric toothbrush, interdental brush, and floss. No way I'd ever bother to do this toothpick technique on anything remotely approaching a regular basis... or even once. 😄
