I've had lots of questions regarding refunds. Apple store reviews your claim for refund before its approval or rejection. If your purchase date was more than 90 days ago, you will not get a refund. If your app purchase is less than 90 days old and you have a valid reason, it should be approved.

You’re a life saver, a few weeks ago I needed an app to do something, so I found an app on the app store and downloaded it. But this garbage app requires subscription to use, which forced me to activate the free trial, I thought that I could just cancel the subscription before the free trial ended, but I completely forgot about it, and today I received the payment record email from apple.. Luckily I found this video, just did what you said, hopefully I’ll get my refund
