Thank you. I wasn't able to see the setting initially because my McAfee was active, but after deactivating it, I was able to add exclusions on Windows Defender

Can this method works for excluding external harddisk? My laptop always showing "problem ejecting usb mass storage", every time im trying to eject or safe remove my hdd. Im pretty sure microsoft defender still runing in the background, scanning my ext. hdd., and finally make this annoying problem. Thank you in advance.
