This content is by FAR better than the other stuff you put out. John Romer is truly spiritual... rather than hiding politics behind the guise of spirituality as in some of the other videos here.
Unlistenable due to the background volume drowning out much of the commentary, and the commentary sounds fluctuating between loud, barely audible and seemingly doubled over itself. Itβs really a shame since the subject matter I was able to hear before giving up was extremely interesting.
Canβt hear the dialogue in some parts because of the loud music
Why is there loud MUSIC playing over Mr. Romer speaking?? I missed some of the most important moments because of that music drowning him out. π©
Romer i think is the best in documentary
It is disappointing to read some of the detractors of these documentaries. These have been archived away in some dark and dingy space somewhere, where it has been left to the elements to destroy the medium and be lost to future generations. Remember that these were filmed on Celluriod and a magnetic sound track added to it, both of which unless kept in optimum conditions will deteriorate and degrade over time. These companies have converted old documentaries....ie knowledge.....in to up to date medium and made it available for later generations to watch. So instead of being negative about the imperfection of the video, just watch and be grateful that some people have taken the time, effort and cost of preserving such things and be happy some have the foresight to do so. Also if you are unwilling to deal with imperfection to watch historic documentaries then maybe you should instead pay to stream documentary channels, rather than find fault in something that you get for free.....when did people become so f'ing entitled and think everything should be free and wrapped up in a bow for them!!!!!!!
They play the music so Luis I can't really hear the man narrating And the high pitches of the music hurts my earsππ
Another interesting documentary... i love it
The soundtrack is fireπ₯π₯ππ₯π₯
"It is one thing to say that the originals were inspired, but the reality is that we don't have the originals - so saying they were inspired doesn't help much, unless the originals can be reconstructed. Moreover, the vast majority of Christians for the entire history of the church, haven't had access to the originals, making their 'inspiration' something of a moot point. Not only do we not have the originals, we don't have the first copies of the originals. We don't even have copies of the copies of the originals, or the copies of the copies of the copies of the originals." - Prof. Bart D. Ehrman: Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A student in the field for the past 30yrs. He learnt Greek, and even traveled to study the earliest known manuscripts (in Greek). Ehrman is a leading New Testament historian, scholar, and author.
I thought this was going to be more like other videos but it's almost like a movie documentary. Very cool! ππβοΈ
Very well done
is this part of a series or just a tv special, I like it cause it's obviously old.
Hey can't you reproduce this with the sound balanced. Only about 50k complaints in the comments
Poor audio quality! Why choose a narrator who doesn't believe in the Bible even though he claims to read it often? Video is also very dated insofar as the viewpoint that it doesn't take into account a great deal of information that has come to light in Biblical archaeology since the filming (Yes, filming) had taken place. Sorry, no biscuit.
Don't listen to nothing this archaeologist says he's he work for BlackRock
Perhaps you could have the music overpower the voice just a little more. Interesting concept, but poorly executed.
If conclusion will be its writen by god... then its not documentary.
Yikes, cant hear narration over the music!
