I'm so excited for how to row for no gains
You must OHP, it's better than bench, it makes you very strong, builds testicular fortitude, and helps you have grit and character. I will elaborate no further, any other opinion is just wrong.
Push pressing to cheat for more reps after strict pressing are what got me through a never ending OHP plateau.
Behind the neck presses make my shoulders feel amazing. I really don’t care what muscles it’s working.
My humble brag is that I’ve recently hit 225 x 10 on seated OHP and I felt like the coolest cat on the block. Oh and my shoulders got bigger, so that was cool too.
It's enjoyable as hell. I'm in the gym to add to my life and have fun; it's for me and nobody else. Love OHP.
Can’t believe how much this channel has grown. I started watching years ago when I was but a wee lad in highschool. Now I’m old enough to blast tren and get drunk everyday, the Bromley way. 😎
Unless you already have Kevin Levrone “eating your pec” sized front delts, do your damn overhead pressing.
Dan John said that, once upon a time, the OHP was what you answered with when people asked how much you could lift Also that you can do it by yourself without dying like a Columbo murder victim
Holy shit the fact that both Mike and Jeff said overhead press bad cause spinal fatigue then proceeded to rank the seated one with less spinal fatigue the same is nuts they even use the same reasoning
To be fair, the fact that Hooper wasn't flattened during all those log lifts is an insane thing itself. I don't see anybody surviving that much back bending with that much weight and not dying
The comedy, editing, and memes were really funny, we need more videos like this.
Everyone talks about how front delts are already hit by your compound pushing exercises as a reason to justify not doing compound pushing exercises.
I started doing 15 reps of BTN after each pressing session (bench or OHP). It was VERY obvious which muscles I had been neglecting.
I love that Mike and Jeff don't include the coolness factor when talking about standing OHP but then pretend they did just so they can shittalk seated OHP
Funny how bromley gives 3*8 185lbs when trying to give an example of an average joe lifter approach.
Perfect timing, I’ve been loving ohp and do it around 3x a week
Bromley, all your content is gold, you have helped my progress immensely. You speak facts and make me laugh in the process.
I forgot the details, but I remember Jeff Nippard making a follow up to his tier list videos where he explained what he meant by the rankings and apologized for not being clear.
