Two of my children have bachelor degrees. The youngest refuses to go to college, because he says 'I don't need to go into debt to read all the same books and more from college.' He doesn't want the liberal atmosphere or the debt and feels the education is useless. Stupid classes just to acquire a degree. I can't argue with him as he is self taught constitutional law.

I know a lot of people that can ask if you want fries in 3 languages. Let's get real. Subsidize Trade Schools and start apprenticeship programs instead of college and uni.

The DoE did its job perfectly. It removes critical thinking from education and taught us that the govt loves us and would never do anything to hurt us.

I disagree with this fundamentally. I just graduated from Villanova with a chemical engineering degree. I would not have been able to go to college for only $30k if it weren’t for the generosity of the university to offer me grants and the federal government offering federal loans. I understand a lot of people get worthless degrees like in humanities etc but if loans were entirely privatized the 12 years I spent working towards college would have been wasted.

Michael, I am a retired school teacher. I disagree! It’s easy to talk about education when you don’t have any idea what happens in a classroom! “ALL” children deserve an education!

They did not give funding to wealthy white students we were in the lower middle class and we are white and for all three children we were declined. You have to be considered poverty level.
