So I played this for the first time last night with a friend. We played the 2 player variant but we played the Shark and Smuggler factions because I misinterpreted the “2nd seat” term used on the back of the smuggler faction card. The game was SUPER IMBALANCED and we couldn’t figure out why albeit we had a great time regardless. 😂 Can’t wait to play the RIGHT way this time.

Thanks for the explanation! Only one query. As each person plays 2 dice into their player board, do they only get 2 actions per turn? If so, how do we count the card actions from crew or the union? Wouldn't that mean we end up with dice left over, or we can't use our actions to play them? Bit confused.
