Not much performance boost but makes my game run very smooth thanks
Always have to check the comments before doing these 😅
Leave it blank. It will automatically run the number of cores required.
W vid bro my fps increased by 36
This dude just destroyed everyone's computer...thanks to the comments I won't be doing anything this guy says. I'm sorry, but we can't always trust YouTube University.
this option is for a completly different thing. Explanation: Changing the number of processors in msconfig > Boot > Advanced Options does not improve gaming performance. Why? It only affects the boot process, not how games or apps use your CPU. Windows already uses all available cores by default. This option is meant for debugging or testing, not performance. Limiting cores can even hurt performance. Leave it unchecked – it's best for gaming and system stability.
Setting the number of processors in the system configuration to the maximum can help improve gaming performance by allowing the game to utilize more CPU cores. Modern games are designed to take advantage of multi-core processors, which means they can distribute tasks across multiple cores for better performance. If your system was set to use only one processor, it would limit the game's ability to perform tasks concurrently, leading to potential bottlenecks and stutters during gameplay. When you logged on with it set to one, it meant that your system was only using one core for processing tasks, which could lead to slower performance, especially in demanding games. By changing it to 32, you're allowing the system to use all available cores, which should help in reducing stutters and improving overall performance, as the CPU can handle more tasks simultaneously. Just make sure your CPU actually has 32 logical processors (which typically means it has 16 physical cores with hyper-threading enabled), otherwise, setting it to a higher number than available won't provide any benefit.
guys it makes ur performance worse and startup times slower
ai debunked this it actually reduces performance, leave it as default because windows will change this automatically for you to maintain performance. One thing I do recommend is going into bios and on the OC tab change your CPU turbo offset from +1 to auto or lower it to like -1 or -2 to further reduce temps.
Very good now you break my grandson pc very bad man
Thanks so much buddy i couldn't find that option before
Modern games usually use 6-8 cores. (core count depends on your CPU-Most modern CPU's are about 8) By default, your games and windows will use all available cores. this does nothing for your average user, leave this setting to default.
Leave it on the default or set it to the highest number. I manually set it to 32 on my 13900k. If you set it to 6 with an 8 core CPU you will only use 6 cores and will reduce performance. DEFAULT OR MAX
It works thanks🎉
don’t touch that it could mess your windows up, Microsoft in general had that unchecked for a reason by default Windows already uses all your cores
Don't do this. I fell in this trap and my laptop it's f***ed. So don't do it
It only affects the boot on the pc as it says in the window's title 😭 Like imagine ur pc boots slowly, after u set the maximum cores it will use them all just to boot ur pc and im pretty sure it will hard ur pc if u leave it
Works good ❤
I was hoping for my pc not to crash, it worke for me, but it won't work for everyone i suppose, so it's best you avoid this tutorial.
