How about the shocking downfall of 90's grunge and alternative bands? Most of them are now dead from drugs or suicide.
I can not take this voiceover seriously
Def Leppard didn't carry on as a four-piece, they were joined by Vivian Campbell. He is an official band member.
"Involved in a fatal car crash in 1983" = Murdered someone because of being so messed up on drugs and alcohol.
I met Vince Neil once. He was the unhappiest person I’ve ever talked to
Grunge destroyed hair metal. Brit pop destroyed grunge. And rap/hip hop destroyed everything, that is until now when a spindly stick insect known as Swift has destroyed all music forever.
Every era has its prime. To me, the 80s rock will never die. My friends and I still listen to most of the hair metal bands.
Def Leppard is probably the tighest band in rock n roll. You never hear anything negative being said about one another.
During that time, I was listening to Mercyfulfaith and king diamond, iron angel, but I admire Dee snyder as a person. He's an intelligent family man, the opposite of what he's looking like on-stage .
I don’t think Def Leppard have had a downfall tbh, they’re the reason fans actually attended the stadium shows not Motley Crue
Skid row saying that they are too big to open for Kiss while I saw them opening for Kiss last year
Also, Def Leppard's story is the exact opposite of a "shocking downfall" of a rock band. I know this because the irritating narrator himself specifically says so. He shows that Def Leppard demonstrated extreme success over decades, despite facing multiple tragedies each capable of destroying any band. He also mentions that Def Leppard is is the Guinness Book of World Records having three concerts on three different continents in the same day. How do narrators like this not get fired immediately? I couldn't even get halfway through this video
I'm sure Def Leopard has had their share of challenges, including Steve Clark's death and Rick Allen's accdent but they've been kick ass since day one to their fans!!! I still love them years later.
Nikki Sixx, AND Vince Neil are the stain of Motley Crue. They really SUCK.
Nice video! You could easily do a part 2. I'd like to hear you discuss other famous 80s hair metal bands like: Quiet Riot Cinderella Winger Queensryche Lita Ford Krokus White Snake White Lion Great White L.A. Guns Kix Britney Fox Faster Pussycat Tesla Slaughter And maybe even some of the lesser known ones who probably only had one hit and are probably forgotten about nowdays like: Damn Yankees Europe Bang Tango Dangerous Toys Vixen Firehouse E' Nuff Z' Nuff Keel Loudness Styper Mr. Big Black & Blue Bullet Boys Kingdom Come Autograph
Bands I saw live in the 80's... 1. Motley Crue 2. Ratt 3. Warrant 4. Bullet Boys 5. Guns n Roses 6. Dokken 7. Mammas Boys 8. Ronnie James Dio aka Dio 9. Alice Cooper 10. Van Halen And a ton of punk bands as well.
Those transitions are incredible, leading each band into each other with a really cool fact. Love the content!
Vince Once sang about girls, I was a fan I'm his age, now he just sings about sandwiches.
Grunge didn't kill 80s metal, they killed themselves. Their egos got in the way of their music.
