bro these super training videos from 8-10 yrs ago with silentmike and mark bell are goated - they got me into powerlifting and i've been hooked into heavy lifting ever since
The most important part of this video: "If you can strict row your bodyweight." I focused on that first and it's worth being able to do that before going crazy with the cheating - otherwise you're just another pencilneck throwing 135 around with shitty form and a small back. Fundamentals have to come first, always.
Call of Ktulu is also mandatory for upper back growth I don’t make the rules kids
Pull your elbows back He's doing it the right way
Can we officially name it the “goat cheat row”
a silent mike sighting
Thank you for this.
back pain
Makes a ton of sense. The stretched portion of the motion is the easiest, which is opposite of just about every major movement. The bottom of the row will never be appropriately challenging if you are worrying about touching chest
One of my favorites that I've been doing for years, I call them deadlift rows.
So far I've felt best stretch on my upper back during snatch grip rdls. But this one seems even better...
It feels like it just ends up being all elbows.
Put the bar down between reps or rip from hang? It seems to me Ed Coan used both styles of lifting. Both make sense.
OLD TIMERS ROWED THIS WAY...RIP Franco &The Myth
John Meadows had a similar variation on a smith machine
Thank you for understanding the medium.... perfect loop!
Cailer Woolam does rows in a similar fashion. He has a video of him at Mark Bell’s gym rowing over 400lb
Strict row my body weight? I can strict press 1.3x my body weight. Let’s go
405 rows no straps..never seen anyone does this
