A theory I have on Jax is that maybe he was only 15 when he entered the circus so maybe he uses the personality he had when he was 15 as a sort of comfort or coping mechanism to keep himself from abstracting, after all, he is confirmed to be 22 and actually younger than the rest of the main cast so maybe he thinks if he acts like a jerk all the time he won’t go crazy.

This was from another video but the reason why (just a theory) that jax didint attend kaufmos funeral is because we can see he softens his expression to a sad face for a split second and that he had a nickname for Kaufmo in ep 1 so maybe they were very close and he didint want the others to know that he could cry so he went to his room to cry and so the others couldn’t see him cry

I saw someone else say that jax is an npc but their evidence was terrible. Digital's proof is WAY more logical but keep in mind Jax has an official age.

MatPat at Game Theory made a video theorizing that the circus members weren't physically gone from IRL but cloned into the game. I want to take that theory further that Jax did so knowingly and hacked some cheat codes into his clone self so that he could dig up info and secrets from the circus members, and send the data to his IRL self so that he could blackmail their real-life counterparts.

I have a theory… Maybe when Jax was younger, his father was like Jax himself… always wanting violence or not caring about his friends or family. What if we say that Jax’s father didn’t care about Jax, leading him to act like his own Dad and trying to accomplish his father to notice him. Not forgetting everything except his name in the past, he still wants to attract attention to others that his parent didn’t give him. Another thing. Let’s not forget that the fact that his Dad was still acting crazy. Perhaps his mom left him because of that issue. !!SPOILERS TO EPISODE 2 OF TADC!! I feel like Jax acts like a jerk as a form of escapism. He knows he's trapped inside a video game and there's no way out so he's trying to play it off so he won't abstract. Also, 6:15 if he was an NPC, he would've been erased from the game like how gummigoo was in episode 2. Caine confirmed that he needs to keep humans and NPC's separate otherwise he won't know who's who. I think they're all losing their minds and are just using different ways to cope. Like, jax might act a jerk bcs of that, or Ragatha may be trying to make everyone comfortable because she herself is losing her mind etc. I don't know though, that's just my thoughts, there could be many reasons why everyones acting the way they are in the show.

You forget one detail. If Jax was an Mpc, then wouldn't be hypocritical to not through Jax out of the Cirius just like the Candy Crocodile. Remember when he said, "Oh an Mpc wouldn't wanna confuse myself with Mpcs and THE HUMANS." And did a face like he did that before? He'd would've gave Jax a little bit more of an design like himself or Bubbles. This includes the Glonks Queen. Just saying.
