@CDepressionDanny

When the Pyrewood Gearhulk enters, damage also can't be prevented this turn, which I think is an overlooked aspect

@Jc27uhh4h4h4

pyrewood being a memorial to wrenn got me in tears bro

@harrowed--one1690

Coalstroke can yoink stuff from any graveyard so you can steal a combo piece out of a opponents graveyard

@Jake_S_

The menace and vigilance for Pyrewood is pretty unique. In commander, it lets you make a big potentially lethal swing without being exposed to follow-up attacks.

@alexstewart9592

You've misread Coalstroke Gearhulk. It reanimates target creature in A graveyard, not target creature in YOUR graveyard. This means that you can use it as graveyard hate with the upside that you get to use whatever you are getting rid of for a turn, while also having the option of reanimating your own cards if that will win you the game or you are out of ways to use them from the graveyard.

@byrontheusurper6505

I just pulled brightglass today, idk what I'm gonna use it in yet but MAN that card rules

@thechap82

Pyrewood gearhulk gets around The One Ring with the anti damage prevention effect. That can surprise a lot of decks.

@HeroEditz7

The rakdos Gearhulk is going to be insane in standard with clones you can pretty much 1 spot there’s also lots of insane 4 mana creatures in standard right now like sheoldred and arch fiend of the dross

@vladdracula2643

Double strike and prowess is really scary, plus its soft removal. The BW Gearhulk is damned spooky.

@Guukoh

Brightglass can get some INSANE combos of cards.

@blueredlover1060

Coalstoke Gearhulk could also be used to move the finality counters around. Keeping the card you resurrected in the graveyard, while exiling creatures from your opponents. It could be interesting as a way to reuse etbs.

@jarekhartwell6235

Pyrewood is excellent because of its damage prevention and because menace and vigilance are unique keywords for an overrun, so it's actually quite good

@lukyshot248

Pyrewood Gearhulk giving menace makes it pretty interesting to me, I’ll probably tinker with it in my Jetmir deck and see how it works

@SwedeRacerDC

It's funny seeing these ranked by you vs. Saffron Olive who definitely cares more about standard. The flip flops make absolute sense and the Azorius one might actually be the best in Commander. I think Oildeep is closer to the bottom in commander as I suspect your channel typically cares more about Commander, but maybe a little bit about the general strength of the card across formats here. If we are looking at them according to an average across formats where they're legal, you're probably correct.

@samuraicupcake289

I like how Brightglass can fetch you Treasure Vault, Thornglint Bridgr, Urza's Saga or Valgavoth's Lair

@aarontelander

Oh, Coalstoke is my #1 because you can build around it by putting clones in your bin and summoning an army of 5/4 menace hasters

@rohacjustrohac3581

Riptide feels so crazy in any case where you loop him with a welder effect

@overseer1018

I bought the precon and i got that last gearhulk with a special look to it in the little pack that came with it i called it thanos

@simonr4773

Riptide seems really good. Prowess and double strike is a kinda nasty combo

@vaepuer2290

We needed these to become a 5 card meld for a Megazord style gearhulk
