As a resident of Pasadena, California, I'm glad to see a video covering our great battle

@darrylerren8185

In 5 years, rome went from just starting to build a navy into fighting and winning the largest naval battle in antiquity. If that's not amazing I don't know what is.

@shingshongshamalama

Me: "I wonder what it'd look like if the entire population of Pasadena, California fought the entire population of Tallahassee, Florida in ancient warships."
Kings And Generals: "ahem"

@brokenbridge6316

The First Punic War isn't covered enough. So I'm glad that KNG was kind enough to make this video. It was a good one.

@Tiger74147

Another fantastic video from KnG. I wish we knew more about what the Carthaginian navy was experiencing. If they arranged themselves specifically for encirclement, why didn't they encircle? Whether or not they knew the Romans were better equipped for melee, it still seems like the best way to potentially secure an advantage in even forces. I guess we'll never know, but one wonders!

@JustInTimeWorldbuilding

Seriously one of the best memberships on YouTube. The content you guys produce is fantastic.

@sch.ondraa

Since this awesome video is no longer members exclusive I'm leaving this comment as a sacrifice to the algorithm! Thank you for all the hours of your content, really quality production you guys have built. ❤

@RobsRomanBritain

I love the Punic Wars! I just finished reading Adrian Goldsworthy's book 'The Fall of Cathage', and it's wonderful to be able to visualise it in my mind more with videos like these :) Thank you!

@Jdavid1976

I think it would be cool for K & G to do a father's day vid citing father's and their sons and who ruled more effectively

@JohnFreisr

Salamina (480 a. C.), Cabo Ecnomo (256 a. C.), Accio (31 a. C.) y Lepanto (1571); las cuatro grandes batallas del Mediterráneo que configuraron a Europa Occidental.

@chrissobiech2677

its not only the biggest naval battle of ancient world but the biggest naval battle ever. there were never more ships and men at same time in same area in a battle again. i known some call the Battle of the Phillipines betwen USA and Japan the biggest but it was streched over many days and also in different areas not everone in one at same time.

@paultyson4389

Great stuff.
I have never seen such detail on this campaign. Saves the trouble of reading Polybius.

@fredq6118

It would be really cool to see a brief animation of what it would look like to have 300+ warships on the horizon opposing your forces. Something like a person's perspective on one of the roman ships for example. I find it quite difficult to imagine just from numbers alone.

@jonbaxter2254

I am still gobsamcked at the sheer scale and size of this battle.

It STILL hasn't been beaten in terms of raw manpower.

@commanderstark1973

Just rewatched Invictas vid on this (its been 8 years) and this vid is just as good 👍🏿
Glad you guys are still real and that OfficiallyDevin still has a great recording voice
Its more easy to get into a story when its told by a real person

@bradleywoods1999

Jesus christ you guys are killing it lately with the videos, so many vids on so many interesting topics and battles - keep up the great work.

@huszaratraktor

Just a suggestion... I'm sure patreon is nice, but you guys should consider selling books. I saw your vid about the battle of cannae and just ordered a significant bunch of books about the punnic wars and Hannibal afterwards.

@thebrickbuilderofhistory

Excellent coverage of the Punic Wars!
