Don't forget Gengar! It used to be a really good shiny, but the NORMAL Gengar went from a vibrant purple to desaturated purple, and there is barely a difference now. I love 2D shiny Gengar!

There are actually a few that got ruined in Gen 4 due to likely the misinterpretation by the Gen 4 devs that the sprites were brightened for the non-backlit gba screen when in actuality they weren't, resulting in the greenness of the Swinub line and Gengar's bad colors as a whole post gen 3. 3DS made it worse, but it started with Sinnoh, specifically with Platinum and HGSS. The other screwed up colors happened on the jump, but Gengar was mid-gen.

They’re slowly fixing 3D sprites (maybe) so hopefully (please because we want our vibrant colors back) they fix the saturation too

The Haunter 3D shiny is the only one I think is better in this vid since it feels more like an actual shiny. I'd take the blue body over the blue aura any day.
