I still remember as a kid watching the video of the Ford GT breaking 263 mph at the Texas Mile in 2012. If I thought that was fast back then, now I'm hearing about one going 300 mph
And it broke 300 mph within one mile, too. Simply amazing!
Remember, it's also the industrial chemists who developed tires that would hold these supercars on the road without breaking up. THAT was also brilliant technology. My dad was one them.
Never really been a Ford guy, but the 05-06 GT is without a doubt one of the coolest cars ever made.
3000 hp on a stock engine block??? That’s mind blowing and fantastic original engineering from Ford.
People don't understand how phucking bananas it is to go 0-300mph in a 1 phucking mile AND could drive it home. Still blows my mind..
3000 hp on a non sleeved/ non bored block is absolutely insane
I raced a 05-06 Ford GT on a highway in SandSprings Oklahoma and it stayed right on my ass the entire time. I was on a 2008 CBR 1000RR lowered with cam, velocity stacks, and tune. I was suprised he could keep up with me. He would have passed me over 180 but I think he was thinking about keeping me alive.
Honestly my new favorite mini series. Love these. You’re a fantastic narrator and the content is awesome as well.
I fell in love with this car when I was just 8 years old. Growing up, I watched nearly every single Ford GT video ever made. I'm 25 now and it is still my dream car
And this time it actually crossed 310mph as well setting a new world record just last week!
Still amazing that a Ford GT, still road legal, was made to reach 300MPH. Took another decade and a half for another car company, bugatti, to make a road legal 300mph car, among others. GT was just so far ahead of it's time, people could really make it drive any way they wanted, rather than hyper expensive factory options. Bet the GT still even drives pretty normally around the road, even with the 3000HP.
I’ve never heard the GT90 described as controversial. It’s one of the few concept cars people even remember. People I’ve seen love it. I love it. It looks timeless. Most people would never guess when it was created if they know nothing about it.
the GT90 should have been produced , it was amazing
I know that they had plenty of reason to use the V6 tt in the most recent GT but man it would've been so so cool to see something like the GT500 engine or something similar in there. I absolutely love the design though. One of the best looking cars I've ever seen.
Dad was part of the initial development team in skunkworks, they were originally going to go with a direct homologation of the gt40 mk1 but that idea got scrapped after new safety regulations and fueling were needed for economy. It’s a good thing superformance is basically doing that today.
Hats off to Ford for pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering!
The quality of the content you ate making is setting the bar! I love this channel!
Dude, I literally WAIT for your videos. Hands down the BEST. Keep it coming man, and LMK if you do a premium tier, you got me HOOKED
