"Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9

Keep making disciples guys, the work you are doing is such a blessing to the Church!

@giannacarlson519

You said the map was boring. I thought the same about the names that were repeated in the book of Numbers and elsewhere, but being patient and reading through them all has resulted in the joy of seeing those names repeated throughout the Bible! It has helped me make connections. I truly believe every word in the Bible has special meaning. If the boundary lines of the children of Israel are drawn out for us, it is deserving of our attention, just as the names of the children of Israel are! I love the videos that you guys made, thank God He has gifted you with such wisdom and talent! What a blessing!

@infinityApologeticsClips

I love the story of Rahab, brought me to tears. God wanted to drive out the canaanites but in one moment of faith by Rahab God admired her faith and was extremely pleased with her that he accepted her into the Israelites and also let her marry with one of the men of the Israel and also through her lineage came Jesus! Shows how God loves us and our faith in him means everything to him.

@alexandramejos1522

I try to make it a habit now that whenever I move on from one book to another, I first watch these videos. Thank you! These vids give me glance at what I’m gonna encounter and remember them better.

Side note: I’m currently reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, right now I have started reading Joshua (obviously).

At 75 years old and having been a Christ follower and Bible reader since 15, I’m really blown away by this brilliant app and Tara Leigh Cobble’s insightful recap each day. Thank you…all of you who are playing a part in making this app available. My enthusiasm only grows as I share ReCap with people in my church and family and any other sphere of influence God gives me.

God is so good! Yesterday I was praying so hard and asking God to forgive me for failing my 13 year old cousin who's our adopted daughter. She is so disrespectful and difficult and no matter how hard I try I make mistakes and fail her. I dreamed last night about a difficult teen boy whom I couldn't get through to about his sinning. It seemed important I know his name so I asked him twice. His name "Michael Joshua." I woke up needing to know what it meant and here I am watching and now understanding that God is telling me, "God will deliver trust and wait." WOW!!

@fro_double_g

As an agnostic/atheist I appreciate these videos for how straightforward and non preaching they are. I want to hear y'all beliefs without trying to be converted or talk down to. Keep up the great work very educational and entertaining

@priscilacristaldo6572

I just finished Joshua today and I was wondering about so many battles and deaths. You guys when straight to my doubt ! Thank you Lord for this channel and for your hard work guys.

@dontlookatmyaccount5113

THANK YOUUUU. God bless whoever is reading this! Seek the truth, and you shall find it (or rather, Him- Jesus) <3

@boisebadboy93

Being named Joshua (after the one in the Bible of course) I strive to live up to my name and be more like the Biblical Joshua every day. He was a pinnacle of Godly manhood and a true warrior/conqueror. With Christ being my ultimate hero, Joshua takes a close second. There is nowhere in the Bible (at least that I can remember) where Joshua falls short, gives into sin, and faces judgment. Of course he did sin, being human, but never to the extent of it being important enough to record. Apart from Christ Jesus, I believe Joshua is the human standard that all Christian men should strive to be like. I strive every day. Thank you for the video and encouragement!

3:30 - 3:35

I REALLY needed that. I've gone through a lot in recent years and I thank God for this reminder that He will deliver me and all I need to do is continue to trust Him and wait.

@jacksonlazarus6776

I turned back to God and started to read scripture on May 2018. On completing each book I see the respective "Read Scripture" video on "THE BIBLE PROJECT" to summarize it. Today I completed Joshuva. Thanks a lot for your great work

@yikana7535

This just made it more clear for me why those wars and battles were phrased in such a way. It also makes me better understand the intention of God as well as the use of language which is very important. This is why I think it's very dangerous to look at God's words skin deep without any prior knowledge to the context.

@justinejebakumar7404

This is really helpful for me because I needed to do research about the book of Joshua... You explained 70% of the book of Joshua for a 16 yrs old boy clearly.... Thank you so much..... God Bless You.....

@biggerterry

I'm studying the bible late in life (80) in a serious study group. These wonderful animated videos provide the simplification, summarization, distillation and overview in a way that my visual mind needs. I need this kind of overview so my close readings make more sense. Thank you for this.

@dancronin826

Thank you for the context on hyperbole with regards to left no one alive, I was deeply disturbed, prayed and found this video , Praise be to God

@monizoe3188

The reason I like these videos so much is because it makes you more curious about the Word in the bible. Hopefully people will go and READ the Gospel and look into the details for themselves. I've read the entire bible once and going over it again because every time I read it I receive a new message. The bible is how God speaks to us. Thank you for your wonderful work

@Galluxi

Absolutely love this channel! I am currently reading the old testament and after every book I read, I always watch the summary afterwards so it helps me to see the full picture :) Thank you, be blessed ✝🙏

@crwnofenlightenment

It is also important to remember that God is a jealous God. The Canaanites were destroyed not only for their corruption, but also for worshipping other gods. Thank you bible project for all you are doing to teach us. Every time I finish a book I watch the video which relates to the book I finished as a self check summary.
