@anse001

even the stick blender gave up on that soap

@constancelucas5478

ITS A SHREK SOAP in the beginning and then IT TOOK THE POTION!

@ashleypaulsell3762

As we learned in Steven Universe, "If every pork chop were perfect, we wouldn't have hot dogs." Gotta love life's little twists and turns.

@arynphillips5888

Katie, I have to tell you that my partner and I learned how to make soap from you during the pandemic. Its been such a fun hobby and we decided to make soap as wedding favors for our reception this summer. While making four amazon-size molds of soap scented in NG's nectarine white ginger burst, we had sudden ricing and acceleration. When I tell you that we were still about to get soap in the molds with a base layer and a three color drop swirl, kept the batter runny despite ricing, and had hood results in the cut product, I will tell you we were PROUD and so grateful to you for teaching us, through both the royal creative academy and through your demonstation of successes and failures on your weekly videos. We knew what was happening and stayed cool, calm, and collected because youve shown us so many variables of what can happen in a soap batch.

@chronischgeheilt

Shrek Barf soap would have been a vibe too tho 😂

@soystk2428

wow katie i had to put down my food and give you a round of applause for that transition to the ad... superb editing

@stephsaguudefan1753

My grandmother loved hummingbirds. Their metabolisms are so fast from how hard they have to flap their wings to hover that when they go to sleep at night they basically have to go into a coma-like state to avoid dying of starvation before morning. They have to eat every half hour or something during the day it's crazy.

Both soaps are gorgeous, thanks for making me feel better while I have a cold!

In case anyone is curious, I am going to explain some of the mechanics of why heat changes the color of some things, especially some liquids and gels. I'm going to make this as easy to read and understand as I can.

There are some molecules that will present as a specific color depending on their shape. It would be something like a liquid being white when when its molecules are in a linear shape but showing as yellow when they are in an L shape.

Molecules can change their shape for a number of reasons but in the cases that Katie sees usually, it's because the molecules in the fragrance oil are causing the molecules in the colorants to break their bonds and reform them in different angles/different shapes.

The reason heat corrects this is because heat can also cause molecules to break bonds and reform them. Basically, adding in a certain amount of heat will encourage the molecules in the colorants to rebreak their bonds and reform them back into their original shape, and then as the soap cures, it becomes too difficult for the molecules to go back to the shape that the fragrance oil pushed them into.

They use this mechanic behind things like mood rings -- basically, the heat in your skin is hot enough to encourage those molecules to change their shape! That's how invisible ink and other color changing pens work too!

Again, the mechanics behind all of this is complicated so this is massively over simplified to make this more digestible.

I could smell my mailbox as soon as I opened it, and I knew my soaps arrived! I leaned down and looked in, and there it was! My soap box has been restocked!

@lanasinapayen3354

When things go off the rails and you start laughing maniacally... that's my favorite thing 😭 I hope I can be as gracious as you!

@jaybird7369

BIG DISCLAIMER FOR LIQUID BIRD FEEDERS!! If you are not cleaning them REGULARLY they can quickly become unsafe for the birds and other pollinators feeding from them. Please do research to keep your local pollinators safe. If you enjoy gardening you could plant a native pollinator garden to attract them as well.

@Wisper_Panda

Color morphs are always something to behold, but as an artist; we TRUST THE PROCESS 💚

Also, as a fellow southerner, my sugary drink of choice would also be Dr. Pepper, through and through. Or sweet tea. It's a hard choice! 😂

Y'all keep having fun 💚

@SecretSquirrelFun

I’m completely TOTALLY and utterly stunned that that slimy poopy brown turned back to its true and original original colour.

Usually I have some confidence that the colour will survive.

This time, I had ZERO confidence - Zero I tells ya’

Anyway, thank you for sharing this adventure, much appreciated.

Big love and hugs to you and your family. You are so blessed to just have each other. Take care.

🙂🐿️🌈❤️

P.s. - You could, if you so desired, gift a bar of the Macaw soap to the YouTube channel called “BirdTricks” or “BirdTricks Kids”

They have several different species of bird, including Macaws.

I’m not sure why I’m suggesting this. The idea just popped into my head and, well… here we are.❤

@Decanta

I love that you're doing bird themed soaps so much! I hope you'll do more birds some time! Cedar waxwings all look like they were painted in Photoshop, and they exclusively eat berries, I think they'd make a wonderful soap theme! Or perhaps an arctic penguin themed tuxedo-style soap with a romantic little "pebble" on top, which some penguins famously use to court their mates 🤭

@tasteytac3344

I always love when you let us know your exact thoughts of a soap that's misbehaving or something's going wrong. XD I'm happy this one did shift back.

@abbie2151

I need another camera set up that is taking video of you Caleb and Elijah all together chatting. I would love to see your interactions it would be awesome you have great comedic timing.

@juniper-moss

These paranormal colour morphs are so fascinating to watch every time! Especially when they turn out pretty like this in the end 🖤

QOTD, my drink of choice would be Monster Energy

@ghostcookie6766

The colour morphed version looks like that Dubai chocolate! 😭

@Mariadasvacas

That transition to the ad was chefs kiss

@yasao_art

Birds? Heck yeah, my favorite animals!! I can't wait to see what other beautiful feathery friends you included. The soaps in this video were perfect already!
