@penny6100ful

This man had heart , he was a deep thinker. If he were alive God knows what he would be doing . A true poet

Everyone can say what they want, a bigger rapper than 2pac has never emerged. The best in its time, the best in this day and age. his music will never die.

@TheRedWineGal

2Pac passed a few weeks after I had just started college so when this song was first on the radio a couple of years after that, it was a shock, especially hearing that piano from Bruce Hornsby's "That's just the way it is." What a surprising combo! This song remains my favorite by 2Pac to this day.

@Ssesay08

The greatest hip hop rapper the world has ever seen, no rapper has overtaken 2pac till date, what a loss

@PMed

I found this by way of reaction videos for Bruce Hornsby - The Way it is. I’m an old rocker and didn’t think I would like it. I was wrong. The Bruce Hornsby song is brilliant and powerful, but so is this version. Well done!

@justincox7955

Let's take a moment to give Bruce Hornsby some love....for creating the hook he sampled

Italian woman here. I was introduced to Tupac's music in the year 2000. I'm 47 now and still listen to him. He had a precious soul.

@MrFrancisehughes

The year was 1996, Tupac was born in 1971 and was just 25 when he passed away. Look at what he done. Thanks pac, you were a beckon of light, too bring black and white too join forces and join make humanity better x

@cynthiadeanna

"Misplaced hate makes disgrace to races" Just this short statement is so powerful, so true and so much to say with so little...

@austinashby9571

If only the world could be like that pac. Would be a better world if everyone just loved one another. Be brothers instead of two distant strangers.

@sbuckle1171

Bruce Hornsby provided the melody to this song. Original song “The way it is”.

@Playbois-mi3fl

@angelinalaw7080

The people in power were too afraid for Tupac to stand out to the people and to change the system. There were others out there that wanted to do the same thing... (Michael Jackson, JFK, ...). He was a very intelligent man. He had a different mindset than any other rapper had. I say out of all the rapper today he will remain the best. No one could top over him.

@judahbrutus

I'm a white dude but went to a black middle school when Tupac died and it was a HUGE loss. The school was surrounded by a housing project. His music was playing constantly and I ended up liking his music. I got to see the things he was rapping about with my own eyes. I had several classmates including a 13 year old (very cute) girl murdered. I knew several other kids that died of drug overdoses before they were 15 years old. I saw that most of my classmates had no father and many of them were raised by single moms or grandmothers, 95% were poor and kids were already selling drugs at 10 years old. Looking back I feel like Tupac was THE voice for the black community through his music at that time and he was taken away so suddenly, it was shocking and people could not get over it. I can't believe he died 28 years ago, it feels like yesterday...
