@KathleenMcKinstry

I watched this Sunday night and forgot to leave a thumbs up and comment! I must have been distracted by my chocolate chips that I was eating. 😅. Wonderful and helpful video, thanks Katie. ❤

@agentxp0749

Love this sketchbook, it’s my second fave watercolour sketchbook in the a6 portrait size. Looking forward to seeing you try the Seawhite one you also purchased, which is my top fave. Lovely artwork too as always! 💛🎨

@marthatahir2865

I purchased your book and it arrived yesterday and I had a chance to give it a cursory look as it was late after I returned from work! I think I will find it quite helpful in using my sketchbook more often! Congratulations!

@Babyjohn8170

Just purchase your book this weekend. So excited to read it.😊👍

@Purpleladybirdart

Beautiful artwork in your sketchbook. 🙏💛

Very helpful review, thanks Katie, I really enjoy using the hahnemuhle sketchbook too, it’s a good compromise for combining wet and dry media. Looking forward to seeing a future sketchbook flip through 💫🌈💗

@PaulaScardamalia

Great review. I love Hahnemuhle sketchbooks, cellulose and 100% cotton. I have both in the A6 for travel. The cellulose one offers a little bit more control with watercolor, I think? Still experimenting in them. I also have the 19.5 cm square 100% cotton that is 250 gsm. Also like the smoother texture. Enjoy!

@ankhsunia

I own the 100% cotton version of this sketchbook, and I´m really pleased with it, apart from one thing: it tears easily if you use masking tape, unless you go for a very soft one. From the look of it, I´d say the 100% cotton is rougher in texture, but it does handle a lot of water! And obviously, it´s more expensive than the cellulose one, but where I live, there´s almost no price difference between them, no idea why! But that´s the reason I got the cotton one and not cellulose!

@anniefitzgerald4447

You might like the Khadi fat book. Its 100% cotton, but its very affordable. Less than $20. Ive been using it for about a month, and I like that it has texture but its also kinda smooth. Definitely worth checking out. Also, the Hanehmuhle 100% cotton sketchbooks are nice too.

@TsukabuNosoratori2

I was curious about this sketchbook. Recently I've really taken to Hahnemuhle. It's just the cost is up there. Maybe I can ask for it for my bday later this year xD

@PauseCreative

Hello Katie, I'm using this one for your art challenge *Sketchbook Joy 😊It's perfect for all mediums... I really like Hahnemühle watercolour books.
I also use the 100% cotton, 250gsm ones, but unfortunately their price has gone up. Thank you for this new video test👍 Brigitte

@milenamarcocci6320

Love it ❤❤❤❤ amazing artist. Bravissima

@leahevergreenart

I too have this sketchbook and the 100% cotton. I got them both cause I am looking for new sketchbook alternatives, and so far I really like them both. There was one page on the Watercolour sketchbook (not the 100%) where there was an issue with the page resisting my watercolours in spots. It’s weird but non uncommon in non cotton sketchbooks, as I have experienced it before with other brands.

@oficinacaracolinho

I am loving your watercolour era Katie 😍 it works perfectly with your own style! I am still struggling to incorporate watercolour in my mixmedia explorations, do you have any tips about that?

@kristin.1124

I once had the landscape Version in an Art Box subscription & loved using it 😊The only thing that's absolutely not mine is the linen Cover 😅 it gives me shivers & I needed to Put some self adhesive foil over it 😉😅

@jeydaness

How do you feel about watercolor in mixed media now after experimenting with it compared to gouache/acrylic gouache?

@kathyhackney7950

You should try the etchr hot press everyday. They also have a b5 size (my favorite)

@Bloomkyaaa

Have you tried the Stillman and Birn beta/zeta (beta = cold press, zeta = hot press) sketchbooks? Some of my favs (Actually I like the alpha most!) Hahnemuhle costs a bit more than S&B where I am sadly.

@Linda-js3sb

The Hahnemuhle (cellulose) was my first watercolor sketchbook I bought in early ‘23 when I started my journey back to art. I’ve bought several more since. It handles ink as well as the other mediums you’ve mentioned. I found the Etchr 100% cotton does handle watercolor much better as it should for the higher price. I have the white cover Etchr (cold pressed) vs your Perfect Etchr. Is yours cold pressed? Hot pressed is a little smoother although I haven’t tried that yet. Anyway love seeing your amazing watercolor progress!

@jkellyfamily9

Katie, is the Strathmore 500 series sketchbook you use the 500 series mixed media paper sketchbook? Also, is this Hahnemuele paper color called “natural white”?
