Jeez, that throwaway side-illustration for SNSPDs blew my mind: LIDAR with mm resolution from 3km away? That’s beyond insane!
Hearing 4chan mentioned in an Asianometry video hit me like a flashback. Regardless, thank you for your videos. As a technology nerd and information systems graduate these are my favorite type of videos ever! Quantum truly is the future, and I think we are in the early days of Quantum and it's the next big computing craze beyond AI. I hope to work with IBM one day. Thank you again!
One of the smartest channels on YT. One interesting video after another every week. Love it. Keep it up.
Nothing makes me want to sign up for the Patreon more than this level of ambition in a video. Fantastic 🌹
I attended a Bell Labs lunch and learn on this topic in the late 80s. At the time they were trying to devise quantum algorithms. And hope to have Quantum hardware within 10 years. Over 3 decades later and a recent IBM visit, quantum will change the world in 10 more years (marketing). I do hope I will be wrong, but the depth and breadth of the challenges makes me think of the promise of Fusion. Always a solution of the future. (10 more years)
@1:09 LMAO!! I wasn't looking at the screen, heard you say ur using QEC, and immediately looked up to scroll down and comment how ur not using QEC. ONLY to see the video showing "me" clear as day saying what I was thinking at the moment.. LMAO!! Well played !!
Thanks! Better weather predictions sounds useful.
That Hong-Ou-Mandel effect sounds really interesting, honestly all of it does, its just so interesting how we use the Simplist forms of nature to create the most complex anti'natural things. How humanity shapes the world is amazing. Thank you for the video.
I just reached true quantum state after watching this video, feeling very stupid and very smart at the same time. Thank you!
The real future of Quantum Computing. Rediscovering computing methods known to the Egyptians.
Can you share the reading list they gave you?
“or visa versa”
"what happened to Qubit?" "he got decohere'd" "oh my god"
Finally a good video about Q Computing tech. Thank you!
2:37 That, of course, assumes that the gate is functioning properly. Radiation and/or heat can occasionally flip bits. It's rare but it does happen. How else could a DNS request for google end up requesting googlf and actually result in real requests being accidentally made to the wrong domain? Main memory in a computer is a series of gates that maintain a value as long as electricity is applied.
Been waiting a longtime for this ⚛️
Excellent video. Shout out to quantium psi 👍
Going to have to watch this more than once.
uh oh, a video about my field. this will be fun...
