My wife and I have five beautiful blessings. Each of our children is a precious gift, and we are very grateful for the privilege of raising them to be good citizens and good Catholic Christians.
(Says a New Zealander father who loves the motto "Restore all things in Christ" ✝ ).

@shadow6543

This should ONLY be given to MARRIED couples and it should be tax exempt status.

@gonzie3915

it should be a $5000 tax break. only taxpayers should benefit from this.

@lindaregusci533

To solve this problem. We need to make it possible for the husband to be able to financially carry the family from birth to college. The way it used to be.That way women could stay home with the kids. 5 thousand dollars is nothing these days

@goodscharlotte

In Hungary, moms with 4 or more children are tax exempt.

@daltonnelson94

If the $5000 doesn't require marriage, then this is an awful idea.

@EYE_GOTCHA

I wish that I’d had more children. Unfortunately, I allowed myself to be brainwashed into thinking that I should only have 2 children because the world was so overpopulated. 😒

@willowgarrison8089

$5,000 is not enough to encourage Americans to have more children.

@wesman808

As a parent and husband, this would help greatly. However, as much as people like to say that money is the main reason why they won’t have children, I would argue that it is more of a spiritual and cultural issue than a financial one.

@seandelap8587

It's very long overdue that the View was taken off the air for good

@Doofwarrior88

Make it $5,000 for a mother no matter what. $5,000 for the married father. Solved

@ReM9494

Make it a $5,000 tax break instead. Tax payer benefit only. Tax burdens get enough breaks

@Gandoff2000

My kids say "We cannot afford the daycare". It is crazy expensive. This was caused by "both parents working". Also all our energy is used up working.

@Silvertree-t5d

It's fine if it goes to people who do not continue to have 1 child after another simply to collect government money. That has been happening more & more. You're right about married couples. Legitimacy.

@frogbones1968

Have you seen some of these "people" that are having offsprings? Some of them need to be paid NOT to have rugrats.

@justplinkin4809

They already have a baby bonus for certain groups.

@anthonylemanski9032

This is a terrible idea

@gilbertcouto8537

We have been saying this for 20 years. We need more W babies

@GambitsEnd

Of all the ways to promote birth rates, giving money is the absolutely worst way of doing it. We've seen this before, all it does is incentivize baby mills to collect cash. Do not provide money, instead make it easier and cheaper to care for children so that couples which want to have children are not impeded by a financial burden.

@Space_Cowboy777

Yeah have a kid, so you can return to work in a few weeks and never see the child because you work constantly to survive. I don't want to just pay someone else to raise a child for me.
