My younger sister expressed a similar opinion about Cid. I believe this is occurring because "macho" characters have become somewhat rare in contemporary entertainment. Additionally, it is difficult to counteract the influence of our biological predispositions.

While not my favorite FF title, definitely, without a doubt, top 5 for me. The DLC definitely pushed it up there just because of the improved QoL changes and lighting in the Leviathan area. I desperately missed the sunlight after everything went gloomy. While I hold out hope that 17 (when it inevitably is announced) will have a gameplay system based off of FF7R, I wouldn’t be upset if it was more action based like 16.
