Thank you kindly for excellent content. Here in sunny South Africa, things are very trying to say the least and your content always has something to try and emulate in our very real current situation.

I shot PRS and PRS style comps from 2016-2018. Everything shown here is spot on. I never got into the arca tables as I shot PRS for a training aid and see alotta stuff happening in comps that is unrealistic in the real world, so I tried to keep my equipment to a minimum. The entire reason these comps was originally started was to try to simulate realistic combat situations with minimum gear like a sniper would have on them, as I believe it was started originally by a marine sniper. Carrying an extra tripod with a fricken table ontop of it is 100% unrealistic if your humping your gear in the mountains and as long as your not trying to shoot ELR off a tripod, its completely not needed as many of us was hitting 1200 yard targets off a clamping bipod alone with 15ish pound rifles, or heavier. There's definitely alotta people in the comp world that buys gear to try to help them get the win. With that said, bags and tripods are a must, I would almost say tripods are more important than bipods as you can use your tripod in the prone as a bipod, which is what I have been doing here lately. I use a bogpod deathgrip tripod for coyote hunting with a clamp system, not an arca lock and it works great, I just highly recommend to balance your rifle out once you have it in the tripod before clamping, itll help you be more stable. For coyote hunting, if your moving positions alot, keep the rifle in the bipod and pick the entire package up and move. Works wonders.

@thepeachy_08

Would you guys consider doing a video on atak?, I think it would be good :D

@josephhomen

This a really great video! Your guest was very good and informative. A Harris s series bi-pod is less them $100 a pod lock is around $20. But yea Harris is lite very quick to deploy/stow and are quite stable but better options are out there they cost more. A s series Harris is the minimum for a bi-pod. Atlas bi-pods are super jiggly, accu-tac are the most stable but I have not tried the 8 billion dollar sky pod.

Thank you for continuing to make these topics accessible and understandable by dummies like me. Your content production quality is appreciated.

If you’re just starting out, the Flatline Fiber Co Baseline bag is a super affordable and fantastic solution. Optimal as an ear bag, it can also work very well as a barricade bag, and is small and light enough to fit in a cargo pocket.

For the Stoic Solutions bags, I’d urge people to go for their larger variant. The small one is SMALL, but still offers some great stability.

Armageddon Gear game changers rock. For most of our gas gun/DMR stuff, we’re using schmedium or pint sized game changers with the SpexLite fill. For comps, I’d lean towards a schmedium with medium fill, but the pint sized with light fill is super convenient to carry in the field, and definitely gives me the stability I’m looking for to utilize a scoped carbine out to its max effective range

@FITFO

For bags i have always just cut the leg from the knee down on a pair of old OCP/UCP pants make cargo shorts out of them then sew the bottom of the leg piece you cut off and fill it with airsoft BB’s then sew the top. Sew some hook loop on it if you want or a matching nametape so nobody steals it. Then you have the leg pocket allready build in for range cards or kestrel. If you have access to a sewing machine you can really beef up the stitching lines, flip the bag inside out before sewing the bottom to make the bottom sew line look clean.

Another great video! Love seeing what gear people use for shooting!
