Whenever I hear the term “national security,” I know that it’s going to be followed up with stupid anti-privacy BS.
Personal privacy is much more important than national security.
Privacy vs National security Because criminals doesn't communicate in code or use their own programs
If you need to search a phone, go get a warrant from court, just like how you need a warrant from court to search home, and go to the person for which the warrant has been obtained. Right now the agencies are going to the lock maker of the home and trying to snoop around without home owner noticing. That is not how investigation should work. Leave the lock makers alone and stop asking them to make backdoors in locks/encryption.
this was the best explanation
Thank you for the easy breakdown
Finally a video on encryption that made sense.
this is so useful thank you so much!
thanks for educating us
I was going to comment that privacy was far more important than security, but the other commenters have already said it for me.
That's not how national security should work in the first place.
I'm thinking about the guy from Iran want to talk to someone about things that his government won't allow. But at the same time about the criminal that will use it in order to make a crime.
Perfect, flawless, and neutral video! Highly informative! My ideal form of what mews should be. Just amazing.

So the key of the story is the private key? All someone has to do is either get or replace your private key...
Tech companies work hand in hand with the government. They aren’t fighting for your privacy. Anything you text is permanent property of your cell provider. Which can be subpoenaed by the feds whenever they want
