Kwite legit did a whole in depth analysis of YouTuber plushies so his video wasn't just an ad for his own plushie. That's gotta be the most appealing advertisement I've seen for a plushie hands down. Bravo. Now I unironically want to watch a video talking about the correlation of decreasing purchasing power/house ownership and the rise of plushies/posters as forms of self expression in personal spaces.

We went from an era where only popular shows/characters have merch (because its too risky to make merch for unpopular characters) to an era where literally everything has merch (because we now know theres always someone who'll buy the plushie you create). Outside of the "literally everything is now a product" perspective, I'm glad that kids these days don't have to run into the scenarios I did where liking an unpopular character meant never being able to have merch for it ever

There are "mental health themed" plushies, like a rabbit signifying dermatillomania or anxiety. And they are just more expensive than trying to find those smol ceramics Rose tea used to put in their boxes. Gd they are so cute and not nearly $50 for one!
