This pissed me off so bad watching it live. Still does!
Man these cars look some much better than the junk car we have today.
You will never convince me Vickers miscalculated or accidentally did this I remember the post race interview and his whole I don’t want to win like that but he sure celebrated like he did want to win like that.
I sure do miss that beautiful sound of 900 + hp running 9000 RPM.
I was there all you could see was dirt flying then you see Brian Vickers and boy did he need police escorts to get out of there!
And my dad still hates Vickers to this day because of this, which is why I hate Cindric for pulling the same move 2 weeks in a row in 2017 in 2 different series.
Kahne should've won, didn't need to throw the yellow.
Everybody here seems to have forgotten that Vickers was being let go at Hendricks and wasn't even allowed to attend the team meeting before the race. I say they had it coming if only Jr. hadn't been involved.
I don't blame Vickers because he didn't mean to run into the back of Jimmie because lets be honest if you run into the back of someone you will most likely wreck yourself and Vickers was basically going to be kicked out of Hendrick by the end of the year and was even being disrespected by the team in some cases so he really didn't have alot to lose. Also, Dale Jr. flat-out dumped Carl in the Busch series for the win, yet no one remembers that.
And that was the end of Brain Vickers…
We were seated low in the upper deck, between turn 4 & the triangle. Our one blind spot on the track was turn 3. This has come to be known in our circles as the “Where’s Junior?” incident.
this was intentional idgaf what anyone says. as a Jr. fan this was the top 3 worst moments of my life
Man Bobby in the 43 was cool. If market didn't crash he would've been able stay in the 43 and would end up competing til his retirement...
Yeah remember watching this live with my mom. We were huge 48 fans 😂😂
I remember where I was when this happened. I was 11 had a phone that could pick radio and it was on our local country station I was walking around at the fair listening to it. It was a bad day 🙄
Vickers "miscalculation"? That looked like a very calculated move to me; solved all his problems. And that's why this is a ridiculous form of motorsport. F1 forever.
Just keep pushing him Brian whats the worst that could happen... OMG THE WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOME
I was really hoping it would’ve been Kasey Kahne that won that day. He was my favorite driver at the time.
