@BIGBOICOMBO

The reason why the screen is freaking out is because the 30 pin cable's ground (the metal on the outside of the connector) is somehow getting current through it , it could be a bad cable or a bad powerbank

Only wade can keep us entertained while the main star of the show decides to pass out on stage

@KiraSlith

Almost definitely an issue of the battery fusing to itself from being left alone and expanding from receiving a charge it's not capable of holding. It's the biggest gutter about sealed old hardware. You basically HAVE to get a new battery to use it.

Edit: James fixed it on his channel!

@The_One_Time

6:36 Bro's screaming like Wheatley from Portal 2.

@CaptainRosi

The mic tests with random stories in pure aussie dialect are the highlight of my day ❤

@panagiotispappas1001

Remember when Apple got sued for making this unbearably slow by updating it to ios 9? Those where the days!

@soraw434

I remember Siri being the BIGGEST deal when it came out. It was referenced in everything.

@sunny15300

In true DankPods fashion, something goes terribly wrong in the most unexpected (yet somehow still expected) way lmao

@mjfromjersey

The mic was surprisingly good

Nah mate, that's the sexy speaker background. <3

@kacpreusz9911

Touch screens can freak out with funny power sources. Try connecting it to a genuine charger. Also changing the battery on a 4/4s is really easy, i'd argue it's easier than an iPod classic.

@Judgement_Kazzy

The mic test rambling character might be my favorite recurring bit on this whole channel, he's perfect.

@Kaktanternak

I LOVE the mic tests man, they're always so creative.

@dunste123

5:39 still better than any of the wireless headphone mics that we are forced to use today

@draconiusultamius

4S was my first phone as a kid. I still have it and it still works! Its fully jailbroken, off contract, and i keep a few games that i used to play on there (some of which are no longer available through the app store).

@FablogxD

Friend of mine had that problem once, for him it was actually just a case of the battery becoming a pillow and pressing on the back of the screen. Might give that a shot since it was fairly easy to replace them back then. lol

@cromulence

I miss my 4S. It was my first iPhone and it was just a beautiful piece of technology. I'd remove it from my case to admire it - it was tactile and felt so premium and precision engineered. It sounds weird fetishising a phone, but it's such a beautiful piece of design and really looks timeless.

@QueenVoodo0

I look forward to every Thursday thanks to Dankpods, thank you so much for the amazing content!

@avenged110

That was actually one of the 2012-era 4S models that shipped with iOS 6, too. iOS 6 is still the best version of iOS to this day and the iPhone 4-era physical design remains legendary. Like it still looks like something from the future. Good times. Btw, as someone who used iOS 6 full-time as recently as 2022, Siri wouldn't have been able to provide anything useful anyway; Apple's made backend changes, obviously.
