Lord help us to keep our eyes on the purpose of our being. To worship You and to die daily to ourselves and to share Your Good News, no matter the trials we face. Thank You for all of Your tender loving grace, mercy and kindness. In Jesus name amen

@AnchoredinHIM

As I read through these passages today, I was given a new understanding. I couldn’t help but picture the whole situation Paul was in, I kept thinking about Jesus and how much Paul’s story seemed so similar. I wondered how the Jewish people could still be in such denial- wondering if they could somehow, some way just see beyond their hardened hearts.

I love how Paul stated, in 24:14-16, exactly who he worships and explains the history of it all. I like to imagine him being calm and collected, patient as he explains it, not worrying about whether or not they will believe him, confident in his words and God’s provision. In verse 27, my heart ached because I realized 2 years had passed by of Paul witnessing to Felix, yet Felix’s heart was never changed. It makes me sad, and it hits a tender spot in my heart and soul for those whom I love so dearly, who I’ve witnessed to for so many years— they want to keep hearing and they want to believe, they just can’t, “yet.”

I love how Paul shares his testimony and the words of Jesus to Agrippa and we hear Agrippa believing what Paul has said. A verse that I love so much, one that doesn’t get enough attention is 26:22 because Paul is so clear about who his helper is- “Therefore, having obtained help from God…” He never takes glory, yet always humbly gives credit to God.

His response to Agrippa was powerful to me as he said that he wants Agrippa, and everyone else, that they would have a heart for God the way he does. That is my heart’s desire and plea. I have the most challenging time not talking about Him and my joy and strength in Him… and often times, people think I am a wackadoodle or just a naive, gullible person.

My brother called me a Bible thumper growing up and I’ve never had family join me on my love and quest in my yearning for the Lord. God has provided me with some close girl friends and an amazing church, a husband and family members who “support my belief” even to the point of joining me at church for 15 years +, but it’s just never quite enough to “convince” them. They’re always waiting for a little more. I pray with a fervent heart, so constantly and diligently, that the Lord would move in their lives and their hearts, and that they would have a conversion story that they will eventually share as boldly and confidently as Paul. I know He can move mountains and He can soften the hardest of hearts. It’s His will and His timing that I have to surrender to.

I’m so grateful for TBR and this community that allows me to converse and process all that I’ve learned. I’m so glad that we get to share our own thoughts and that others speak to how the reading impacts their own lives. Ya’all really have become a family to me!

Have a blessed day. I pray for you all to have the heart and boldness of Paul, the love of Jesus, and the help of God today and days to come. May those you share the word with have changed hearts and come to repentance, making heaven their new final destination, where we can sing praise and worship our amazing creator, YHWH, forever and ever!

Tara-Leigh, you've got to know a couple of things: first, this is year three for me, and I rarely miss a day, which is important only in the sense that it's easy to complete the recap every day by listening and/or reading the Bible from the YouVersion app. Hopefully, that will help someone who is on the fence about watching and joining. SECOND, everyday, YOU MAKE ME LAUGH! I love your sense of humor. It helps me pay attention because you never know when you're going to say something funny or absurd, but it's intelligently funny.
God bless you from north of you up in the Texas panhandle.

I gave my life to Christ 22 years ago and am a pastors wife. I’ve done countless Bible studies and have tried to read through the entire Bible, but I’ve never done so. My will has never been strong enough, but this format has not only helped me succeed; it’s given me a yearning for God’s Word every morning. I start my day here before my feet hit the ground. I’m so thankful for this ministry and for the Holy Spirit’s work in making it possible.

Several days ago several people in the comments stated that they would have a hard time following Paul because of his bluntness or boldness, but I have come to love him more and more. He spoke with boldness in proclaiming the love of God and the sacrifice of Jesus for us. Father God help me pursue those for your kingdom (even my enemies) with the boldness and courage of Paul.

‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:12‭-‬16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
[12] “While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, [13] at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. [14] And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ [15] So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. [16] But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.

Although our trials may not seem anywhere near the trials and tribulations Paul had to go through, we still have a hard time going through them. But we have a God that will carry us through and He will help us to sustain and maintain our life in Him. Do not fear but trust and have faith as Paul did and God will give us the helmet and breastplate of the His Spirit to protect us from all the schemes of Satan! I know He will and I know He can.😊

@dorimatneychromechasers

I can't imagine the suffering that Paul was experiencing. The physical pain after his beatings and the endless waiting, not knowing what would happen as he sat in prison. But he stayed obedient and faithful to God. He did what was right and didn't try to bribe or do wrong to escape his imprisonment for false accusations.

Despite all this struggle, Paul knew that God had a plan for him. He knew that he was right where he needed to be. I pray that when life is tough and I'm struggling, in pain and frustrated that I can remember, I am right where I need to be. I can remember that God is taking care of me even in my desperate situation.

God help me to remember You in these times. Help all of us to remember you when we are in difficult seasons of our lives. Help us to remember to give thanks and to appreciate You, knowing that good will come of the bad. give us hearts of gratitude in these difficulties. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen

Aloha, praise the Lord and good morning BR family. I love Paul's faith and hope in God's sharing the gospel following God's laws and plans for eternal life. Like Nehemiah, Paul knew He was called by God. They both encounter one challenge after another but they never lost faith and hope in God. Why? He is where the JOY is!!!:thanksdoc:

@PhilTorrance

Paul was now free to follow God’s will for him to minister in Rome. The physical chains are a manifestation of the spiritual realm in the physical to bring the Word as the Father directs. Paul is in the center of his purpose as God directs.

@victoriasvictoryvoyagevlog

With the help of this ministry, I fell in love with God even more. I also had wanted to read the Bible in full but have never been able to until this year! I’m so excited that I am a finisher in reading the Bible! I’m understanding it more with the help of your Bible Recap each morning. I can’t wait to do it again in 2025!❤

@antoinettehereford8180

The Lord was certainly very gracious to include the life of Apostle Paul in scripture. Even though he could have been released, he chose to remain under arrest in order to do God's will in preaching the gospel to the Gentiles. Yahweh, help us as Your people to be ready at all times to share the truth of the gospel to whoever we encounter.

Even in terrible timing, God is still moving and working things out. Yes and Amen!

@hbrown5068

Even when people think we’re out of our minds, share the Gospel so that all who hear may be saved.

”And as he was saying these things in his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are out of your mind; your great learning is driving you out of your mind.” And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?” And Paul said, “Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am—except for these chains.”“

@karenevans6035

Paul defends his faith while imprisoned.
Even though Paul missed his chance at freedom, God was still directing his steps according to His ultimate good plan.

@nathanmay8433

Hi TLC my name is vivian and I'm 8 years old and I love your bible recap

@CotishaMcNair

This is so wonderful of how Paul went from being a persecutor of Christians to spreading the gospel. My God shot was also how God is ordering Paul’s steps. He has had many trials but God🙌🏽 he is with him every step of the way he is definitely where the joy is. 🙌🏽🙌🏽

@barbquinn1941

Besides God’s plan in all of this, I also loved that we learned more about what Jesus said to Paul on the road to Damascus! It was like getting a peek behind the curtain of Paul’s private life with Jesus! Thank you God ❤

@Bigtill1999

I continue to just enjoy how this study is laid out. When I got saved on August 7th. 1994 and started reading the Word I read it one book after another. But reading it this way makes me see how interconnected these books are and that the early church’s missionary work was intertwined. It’s amazing. His Word is alive and active and powerful. Glory to God.

@beechannel27

I love Paul's faith journey throughout this book. His faith in God is admirable.

@lipapaster2508

I just found these videos because I have been listenimg to your podcast every day while I walk with my dog. I am looking forward to watching them in the next year. Thank you so much for helping me to better understand the Bible and my relationship with God. I have been learning a lot. You truly are a blessing.
