The cells are named after Henrietta Lacks, these are her immortal cells. The film “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” based off of the book with the same name, tells her story and how the cells were obtained. A lot of medical research and breakthroughs were possible because of these cells however, they were obtained and used for research purposes without her knowledge and consent.

Immortality is what they refer to as being Undead, or undying.  True immortality is nothing but emotional pain. You seek distraction from it.  You do not want to look the same and be the same for thousands of years.  When you know too much, it can be painful in your mind as well.  To tell you the truth, you find your immortality on the other side of your internal pain processes.  You learn from pain, and know by dying.
