Adam is a Jedi level fixer. I've watched him repair all kinds of items over the last few years. The 'tube is a good source of knowledge when it comes to "how do I go about doing this".

@jackielingenfelter717

You guys sledding, are true southern souls. You’re fear sledding 😆😂 but you did it!

@mcnater

they joy/fear you have while sledding never ceases to crack me up. Glad you're toasty warm again!

@LiveYourSomedayNow

I love that you gauge the danger level of the sledding by how many small children are out there sledding... LOL

@ReadySetAutismFamily

We are full time travelers too for almost 4 years! We have been watching you guys for a very long time & you definitely helped inspired us to hit the road with our 4 kids! No regrets! Thank You!!! We love how genuine you guys are! Our kids even watch you guys which is amazing because their attention spans are terrible 🤣 Be Safe

@1gandhipuram

So glad to see you guys back on the road again. A little glitch but Adam handled it like a champ:) Happy to see Kona frolicking in the ❄️ and enjoying it so much. Looking forward to all the travel videos and wish you both safe and fun journey. New Mexico is such a stunning state. We visited it in 2020.

@RamblinRalph

Crossed that long bridge way back in 2008, near the start of my ramblin' days. Congrats on fixing the furnace. It's always a good feeling to do it yourself! Safe travels!

@jennystimson7104

I miss Taos! We lived in NM for 7 years and northern NM was our favorite place. Such beautiful scenery, wonderful food and amazing culture.

@JazzBanjo

My GF got a temp medical job in Glenwood Springs Co. two years ago and we stayed through the winter. And we are Floridians with zero winter experience and the first thing we did was get snow tires and I’m very glad we did. Hope you guys have them! That winter was one of the most magical experiences of my lifetime. We lived on a golf course and in the winter all the elk came down off the mountains to live on the golf course! There were hundreds of them and they were wandering around all over the place - crossing the roads and all up in peoples’ yards…it was incredible.

Coldest ever in my van 17F. Discovered that flannel pillow cases are better, then they don’t feel like ice cubes when sleeping on them. I also hang my clothes over the dash vent while the van warms up in the morning. More pleasant to get dressed with warmed up clothes.

@danellunderwood7772

Here's how I deal with Winters in my van. I did insulate really well when I was building it. I have a Wave 3 catalytic safety heater I run it before I go to bed. I usually shut it off when I'm ready to sleep though as I really don't need it overnight And it increases the amount of condensation. I will run it all night if it's going to be down around 10° though, of course I leave my ceiling vent open a little then. I bought a wool blanket a year ago off Amazon which was a huge help over just the regular blankets I had been using. I loved it so much. I bought a second one this year so now I have multiple layers of wool blankets. I also have found fleece sheets to be the warmest. Warmer than flannel. When it's going to be below 20, I layer up with thermals and some heavy fleece lined joggers and fleece hoodies and wear a hat. I bought a balaclava this year too. I actually don't mind sleeping in the van in the winter until it gets below 20. Then it's not so much fun And the ice on the inside of the windows is a pain to deal with.

@awanderfullifeblog

I too have been chasing the winter sun and mild temps for the last few years and even being back in NYC winter apts relying on old radiators has been an adventure! You guys are champs for putting up with that heater but learning so many skills! SAFE TRAVELS!🙃

@roblipman7069

Good thing you’re a handy guy Adam! Love your positive attitudes when faced with adversity.

@bigjimslade6250

Bingo! Clark Griswold has nothing over on Adam with the round sled. Stay safe & warm on the road.

Kona, the Van Life Snow Dog

Through mountain peaks where cold winds blow,
Lives Kona, the pup who loves the snow.
A van her home, the road her guide,
With winter’s frost, she wags with pride.

The morning light on hills so white,
She bounds through drifts, a joyful sight.
Paws carve trails in powder deep,
A winter world she longs to keep.

The crackling fire, a cozy den,
Yet soon she's dashing out again.
Snowflakes dance upon her fur,
A nomad’s heart, a wanderer.

From frozen lakes to pine-lined roads,
Through blizzards fierce and trails untold,
She rides the storm, she greets the freeze,
A spirit wild, forever free.

@geraldzimmerman8777

That bridge is cool. I also felt it moving and I walked out onto it. Taos area is one of my favorite places.

@christinewentzell7365

Kona must have missed you guys a lot when you were gone to Peru. I am sure you were just as happy to see her too.

@alexandrak3847

So fun to watch you again in the van. I never camped in the winter but where I live we get easily-30C this time of the year (or colder).
Layers is always the thing when dressing for winter temperatures.

@brendas1346

Your sledding in Germany gave me a huge laugh. Kudos to you for trying a winter trip; that was brave.
