You are the best! I watched your video before our trip and signed up for traffic alerts. We found out about a rock slide that closed an important road in time to adjust our lodging to salvage the trip. Thanks for that traffic service tip!!!

Great tips! And remember -- you don't have to have a car at all. If you're staying in one of the gateway communities (like you were in Groveland), you can take a bus into the park. You don't even need a car to get to the area, you can just take Amtrak. The bus service is called YARTS, and you won't need a reservation to get into the park, just buy your YARTS ticket.

3:28 makes planning around the busy crowds and time spent researching seem WELL worth it - so beautiful!

The three times I went to Yosemite were; the week leading up to Memorial Day Weekend, at the end of May. It was busy, but was getting busier that Friday we left. Then the middle of July, as that's when my youngest son's fifth birthday took place. It was more crowded that time, but still bearable. Then, we went in late October for Halloween In Yosemite. Less people. Colder weather. There was still a lot of people. Not as much as the two other times, but still busy... The places in Yosemite that handed out goodies for Halloween, handed out granola bars... We picked up a lot of littered wrappers...
All in all, Yosemite was a great place for a family visit...

Do you still plan to make a video on your bike experience?
