Never knew there was so many ways to do stuff lying down. This guy is certainly a senior developer Jedi Master.
For βexpectationβ he physically did all of these things, so he proved he is capable
I love the fact that even in the expectation he never went outside. Even in a fictional reality, Software devs do not leave the house.
I am depressed at how accurate this is and relieved that it wasn't just me all along.
When he muted his mic and went back to sleep after giving his part in daily scrum, I felt that
like what bill gate said "βI choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.β
As a software engineer working from home I can confirm that this is 100% accurate!
He sounded extremely clear and put together when he turned his mic on, then immediately went back into a coma. I felt that.
The most realistic "A Day in the Life of a Software Engineer" video I have ever watched in YouTube π
The Stack Overflow part was hilarious AF. I spent an outrageous amount of time before trying to always write codes myself until i saw a Senior Developer googling very basic simple stuffs, i almost lost it...
This guy is a genius. For me both expectation and reality happens on different days, i just try to keep balance between the two.
Dude I've been a software engineer for 20+ years, and WFH for roughly 10. This was absolutely hilarious! Great, fun video π
As funny as this is, you have no idea how comforting and relieving this video is as well. Sometimes it feels like Iβm lagging behind everyone else by a large margin
Am I the only one impressed with his desktop setting with the horizontal monitor ? This is genius. You can tell there is intense thinking and planning behind.
This video hit hard. The cherry on the cake was that you were ordering dominos pizza's through the webapp that I created with my team when working at my last software consultancy.
As a software engineer, you're the first Youtuber to make me laugh out so loud!
The "Expectation" is what I literally see in vlogs. They don't let us see the "Reality" part which we all can relateπ
Quite accurate.. If you bypass 1) pointless meeting 2) pointless commuting 3) other useless stuff All that is left is sheer productivity and free time.. The sad truth of software engineering is that it's a "work of art" rather than a "mule at work".. You usually can pull out the quality code in a fraction of your real work time, the rest of the time is spent on mulling over the solution while doing something else, laze a bit and then studying always more studying...
Never seen a tv mounted on a ceiling before. Desk mount on both desk and in living room was cool too. And reusing ingredients to make both breakfast and dinner was a nice touch. You have a great lifestyle.
