When you look at how George Lucas brought Maul back during The Clone Wars and had him assembling the gangs and stuff, this really makes a lot of sense.
I remember hearing awhile back that George Lucas also wanted to explain mediclorians and the force more in depth in the sequels.
I would rather heard smth like "Somehow Darth maul returned" Than "somehow palpatine returned"
Wow, that genuinely sounds like an amazing Trilogy.
I really like this idea becuse it sort of makes the good guys - bad guys forces "balanced" through out all trilogies? What I mean is Prequels - Big good faction (Republic) vs big bad faction (Separatists) Originals - Small good faction (Rebelion) vs big bad faction (Empire) Sequels - Big good faction (New republic) vs small bad faction (Crime sindicate)
George Lucas after watching the sequels made by Disney : What have I done ?
See hereโs the thing if maul returned Anakin didnโt die for nothing he wouldโve died for bringing balance to the force but when the emperor came back it was like he died for nothing
Tbh, I would have LOVED to see Maul as the main villain of the Sequel Trilogy. It would have been pretty poetic if the secondary antagonist of the beginning of the Skywalker Saga was also the final villain of its conclusion
Imagine what he was feeling while he was signing his name on that contract. "I have a bad feeling about this...."
"somehow maul returned" would have been 10x better tbh
fun fact: Dave Filoni let us have a short glimpse into tension and dynamics between Maul's twi'lek apprentice with the help of Ahsoka. Snips finally coming in handy. Even if it was short lived
this would have been so much better than the sequels we got
This needs to be made into movies that retcon the sequels we got.
I really hope George Lucas releases novelizations of his sequels someday so we can see what they should have been.
Grandchildren ๐๐๐๐๐ more of them, and not killing off the whole Skywalker line
Wow, that sounds way better than a New Hope 2.0, The Death Star 2.0, and Palpatine somehow returning.
It would be nice to see a reboot in which this occurs, either in animation or live-action.
Poor George Lucas. Disney did with the sequel trilogy the absolute opposite of his plans. No wonder he even called them slavers
"oh that doesn't sound as bad, no dumb necromancy or anythi-" *somehow maul returned* "Damnit"
