"To grieve deeply, is to have loved fully" is likely the most heart-wrenching yet beautiful thing I've ever heard.
Mimir solving Brok's riddle right after his funeral was one last emotional shive in the feel kidney's one the games way out the door.
Sindri using Brok's hammer to break the marble with Odin's soul in it is pretty satisfying.
For those of us who've been with Kratos since the beginning and seen all he's done, Faye's last gift to him...that it was always his destiny to be redeemed...hits particularly close to home
finally a reactor who understood how powerful that final mural was. Such an amazing moment, story, and character development. subbed for sure!
"Loki will go, Atreus remains" i know the actors cried their hearts out when they performed this scene
I also think that Bear McCreary deserves just as much praise as the actors. The music was absolutely perfect. Never too much and never not enough. The music made every moment in this game infinitely better. These games, but this one specifically, are a culmination of fantastic people with fantastic talent creating a masterpiece that will definitely survive the test of time. This game is in my top 3 of all games I've ever played, and may even be number one, if I take nostalgia out of the equation. I cannot wait for the next game!
52:35 I'm a parent of a young man who's about Atreus' age. He's becoming more independent and mature, but at the end of the day he's still just a boy who looks to dad for comfort and safety. This moment hit me like a freight train.
"They made the story and all these characters very very relatable.." hard cut to Thor puking his soul out I feel it.
You interpreted the murals that he would be worshipped by the people, many streamers/let's players miss that very easily. Your attention to detail was superb, I'm happy to have seen you play this game. The emotional scenes still get to me even years later. Truly a great work of fiction that should never be forgotten.
Not gonna lie, the last shot of Kratos seeing himself on the panel, being praised as a "good" god, that strikes in the feels, the fact that he was always more than what we saw, more than what other people called him, more than a monster...
When Freya showed up with the noose the strangle Odin, I couldn't help but notice how similar things were to when Baldur showed up at the end of the last game. Even the dialog was similar. Baldur to Freya: I've spent the last 100 years dreaming of this moment. I rehearsed everything I ever wanted to say to you. Every word to make you understand exactly what you stole from me... Freya to Odin: I've spent many long winters thinking about what I would say to you as I watched you take your last breath... Baldur to Freya: But now I realize I don't need you to understand anything. I don't need you at all. Freya to Odin: But now I realize there is only one thing I need you to know. You have no hold on me anymore. Then as Baldur was choking Freya, she said to him that she loved him. And as Freya was strangling Odin he said that he had always loved her.
It's really nice to see that someone else cried as much as I did while playing this game. I sobbed the whole way through it!
I'm homeless in a few days and I really needed this upload today <3 Such a beautiful game. May not get to see many videos for a while or play any games myself for a while, so I am soaking in as much as humanly possible. This upload made my whole day <3
Valhalla DLC. My Nordic Queen
51:31 "no more crying"... Just before arguably the most emotional moment(s) in gaming history. LOL
Violet I just want to say how much I appreciate all the work you must do to edit these videos.
Thor is such a compelling character in this game. You go into it assuming he’ll be just a generic evil god working for Odin and he’s the most sympathetic antagonist in this series. Just a broken man beaten down emotionally by his father and succumbing to his addiction to cope That scene where Thrud confronts him outside the tavern hit me hard my first playthrough. My brother had some pretty hard times struggling with alcohol addiction, so I definitley sympathized. Thrud’s actress put so much heart into that scene. It’s one of my favorite moments in this series
You are the only one that i see in YouTube that understood this game and all lores about it ❤
