@LSDandMe

How have I never heard of this guy before? He’s one of the most brilliant people I have ever heard. The amount of knowledge in his head about so many diverse topics is truly astonishing.

@timothyjohnson6258

Just the fact that he can explain all of these moments in history and give backgrounds on all of them extemporaneously is amazing.

@joshuaf7654

These historians are becoming my favorite episodes.

@kubrick2324

it's truly amazing how he lays things out. he has a clear direction and covers all the bases while telling a weaving story

@Arboflye2

Rick's memory is just out of this world... incredibly interesting episode... more of these historians please!!

@nebyoutesfaw4716

What a fascinating person! The fact that he can articulate all these moments and names so clearly without referring to a single paper is truly beyond me.

@cuatro336

I could listen to this dude talk history 24/7

@renteriajp

I have never been this excited to fall asleep listening to a podcast. 😂

@xPirus26

The most informative, kind of entertaining and simultaneously meditative way of gaining knowledge: listening to podcasts, my favorite ones being Lex Fridman and JRE. Thank you. ❤

@wildwallsart5622

For a conspiracy guy he’s very level headed, open minded and not judgmental. Rather than telling me what to believe, great guest.

@Southlander1000

Rick Spence was my major professor in grad school. I loved every class I took from him. Conspiracies and Secret Societies in History was by far the most fun. I was fortunate to have gotten to TA it when I got into grad school. That was like taking the course twice.

Edit: Watching this is like sitting in his UIdaho office and picking his brains for one of my papers all over again. This really made me smile. I rarely watch YT videos over 30-40 minutes, but this was worth all 3.5 hours.

@LSDandMe

The way this guy can recall names and the smallest details consistently during this 3.5 hours is insanely impressive

@YouTubeAccount0000

This guy is so eloquent. Calm and easy to listen to.

@Ruudwardt

Lex, the episodes with historians have been all great. More please!

@jtcouch

I am glad to learn of Mr. Rick Spence and his work. Thank you Lex for always bringing in knowledgeable, credible guests of this caliber!

@rkeyology81

The language of symbolism teaches us a lot. The owl is nocturnal and hunts in the shadows, symbolizing secrecy. It also symbolizes wisdom. I learned this from Heckle Fish 😂

@D.NihilHEAVYIndustries

Thank you for continuing to bring new guests into my awareness, keep kicking ass, Lex!!

@shapursasan9019

The most significant show you have ever made! This interview was historic.

@julianwilson9730

Possibly one of the best Lex Podcasts ever!!!
Rick Spence wove a truly compelling narrative. This podcast was better than any John Le Carre novel. Faster paced and more exciting and with more twists and turns - who would have suspected that Lenin was possibly an Okhrana agent!!!
Well done to you both.
