Grade 5 or Grade 6. Computer class (which was just... showing us how computers work). It's '98 or '99. Mom bought us/me a Dell. So I spent every waking moment on that computer, playing games, talking with friends, etc. At school, we'd do these typing races. And I was always first. Why? How? Because I spent my time in front of a computer. So, at the end of the "season", the teachers gave us evaluation cards that we'd fill out about other students. Kind of a communal critique sort of thing. Almost every one them told me I'm a computer whiz, I'd grow up to do great things with computers. I'm a keyboard genius, etc. I just type fast, man. There's really no skill. So watching this movie, again, as an adult, telling younger me that THIS isn't it... is just. Oh man. The nostalgia hits like a wall of bricks. It's universally stupid, man.
