Great Info on this John ! I have a question is there a better TT motor that can be used as an upgrade to the TT motors used in your Robby projects that will give the motor a longer lifespan ?? You always have such great info on Robby Stuff , love the nylon gears you showed on another video . I remember when you first had the How to builds on Robby Heartbox and the TT motors to use and how hard they were to get and how different the motors worked . Keep up the Great videos !!

Interesting. I might have a use for it. I have just acquired an Elegoo Orangstorm Giga (800x800x1000mm 3d printer) and plan to make a Genesis dalek with it starting with the dome. First draft, I will print the dome itself, get the mechanics working. Later on, will probably move to 3D printing the internal structure and make a fiberglass mold from the draft. I would like to make this motorized so the thing turns and waves its eyestalk up and down. And I would really like it to be silent doing it. Big question I have is how to size the motor. I can weigh one of the fiberglass domes probably a kilo, it is roughly 18" across. There must be some formula I can plug numbers into. I am thinking I want the thing making a 180 in 2 seconds.
