i recently learned that, when you have ADHD, your brain often avoids having you do things it doesnt see as enticing or fun. for me, i find it hard to get my room cleaned. its mainly cause while some work makes you feel good for a short amount of time, it quickly has to be done AGAIN. leaving your brain to mark it as something not fun or uninteresting since it doesnt give you enough dopamine for it to see it as something good. ive seen people change this by adding in something that DOES add more dopamine. like listening to music while doing dishes or eating candy either during or after the chore. to be blunt? you got dog brain and you need treats to teach your own brain "hey, it may not be entirely fun, but we need to do this. if we do this we get treat." and your brain goes "OOOOO OH YEAH! DISHESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! WE GET A SWEET TREAT AFTERWARDS OOOOOOOOO YEEEEEAH"

Oh my god, having a new interest and it consuming your entire being for the next several days to WEEKS is painful as a student. 😭 If I'm lucky, I'm able to either postpone or avoid it completely but I'm not always lucky
