Thank you for this! Some fans need to realise that just because the mic is on and you can hear them shout does not mean that the performance was live
You're really brave for making this video considering how some fans can be very defensive when it comes to this topic, I respect you for that, keep up the great work!
I love how bts was used for the actual live singing 😭 i love them
I love how they highlighted Jungkook’s vocals … my man singing live to Army ‘s at home on weverse for couple hours … we known he can sing!
Putting j-hope at the end while preaching about having higher standards for live performances is chef's kiss. I've seen him live 3 times now (Lollapalooza, San Antonio both nights) and to me he is the definition of standard, he IS talent personified. He's stable as hell performing, relies only slightly on back tracks when he's dancing his ass off (lock/unlock being the main performance during HOTS since that IS a full on dance number), he really creates an unequaled experience. I've also seen TXT once and I'd see them again if given the chance, can't say they live up to my experience with j-hope just because they're not given the same level of choreo he is but they're good, Taehyun IMO is their strongest live singer and they give him all the best (and most) notes/lines so it works for them.
BTS are incredible live performers man. Can't wait for them to return. Only a month left!!
Damn Jungkook gave me Goosebumps.
there's a final type of 'live' vocal that isn't discussed here: live-tuned mics! this is where when a pitch is sung into the mic, it is automatically shifted to the 'proper' note according to 12 tone temperament. this is where the vocal is live and the artist is actually singing, but as the audience you are still hearing a processed vocal, albeit minimally. i think it's because of the normalization of this technique, esp post covid, completely raw live vocals (like lsfm's set at coachella) become such a topic for bad vocals.
Bts and Mamamoo proving why they are my ults 💜 🤧 But honestly after i started to learn music myself .. i have started to know how hard is it to really sing live 😩
I will never doubt Jungkook because I remember that “Elmariachiiiiiii” in the pink outfit. BTS in general I trust. They and Wendy from Red Velvet that did that amazing line in ‘Psycho”. If I’m being honest, I’m not trying to hate or anything but 4th gen groups are the heaviest users of lip-synching in Kpop.
i mean its there job to sing so it is kind of unfair for the people paying so much to see their live performance only to listen to pre recorded music . if i am going to a concert then ofcourse i want the full experience otherwise i would rather stay at home and stream their music.
Kpop is no more about talent its about visuals and im proud i stan people like bts who love what they do even after 12yrs in industry they still so passionate about their work u will never find them lacking or being lazy
I’m an old Army I grew up with records and remember when tapes started being sold. I still have the records and like buying vinyls they hit different.
The reason I respect ATEEZ is that they are honest That they do Lips-sync sometimes but only if they don't have a choice like if they have a hard choreography or When they need time to catch there breath but most of the time it's live
The part where you mentioned "cutting the best parts from different recordings then adding them together to create the perfect version" i immediately understood why so many of these idols can't sing their own songs. Most can't sing a whole line perfectly so companies just cut them and splice them together to CREATE the vocals.
We have some idols lipsyncing at their own concerts that cost thousands of dollars. Meanwhile, BTS gave it 110% in a free concert lmao
I have also noticed how much these "fans" are just there to see pretty faces more than anything else just look at the streaming numbers and compare the amount of views to a "live singing" video is insane. Honestly it's kinda sad that the message they are sending is how much nothing else matters, and company's noticed it that stopped putting alot of effort into the music itself
I remember when not that long ago some kpop fans were mocking jin on Twitter and called his live vocals horrible. The hate was so bad that it got non kpop fans to check out his performance and those people were saying that they had no idea what the kpop fans were talking about because he sounded great lol 🤦🏾♀ which actually lets you know that at least these kpop fans don't know what real live vocals sounds like
jimin's lalalala tone-shift is one for history books
