Girl you're adorable, I see now how unprofessional I was before I learned things the hard way, you're doing amazing things with your content. Saving careers girl! You show us every time that how we say things impact how those things are received. Keep it up! Lord's work ❤
If only my brain worked during interviews. 😅
Erin can you do a video about rehire interviews? Especially post pandemic. Or if you have a source and you point me to one? I haven't seen much content about interviewing at an emplyer you've previously worked for. That would so helpful!❤
Always amazing advice 💖 thank you so much Erin for contributing to everyone in the community on how to navigate what can be a very stressful process!
I usually ask "what are some benefits the company provides"
Let's get a full interview with Bad/Don't be me Erin. Love some of those "PLEASE DO NOT USE" answers. LOL Soooo...how much does this thing pay? This is a remote job right? Like actually remote? Cause I don't want to go to an office. HAHA!
You are a goddess Erin!! Thank you for always explaining with detailed examples and scripts 💕
Lots of love, Erin 🌷
You are so awesome. Love all these amazing tips. What would be the best way to handle my job hopping? In the last year I have had a hard time, I’m not finding something that I feel good doing. So I leave. It’s never because of under performance or any type of negative issues with the employer. It’s just not a good fit for me. Now I’m feeling lost, and have been tossing around the idea of possibly going to school.
What happens when they flip the salary question on you and ask what is “aligned”. I’d freeze 😅
I asked my interviewer what the offered pay rate for the job was, and he looked me in my eyes and said, "You know I can't tell you that" 🥴
Oh my goodness. I thought this was a screenshot, and then her eyes moved! Ya almost gave me a heart attack there! 😂
Can you ask about the salery range before booking the interview? I honestly don't want to waste my or their time if they are offering below what I make. A positive environment isn't going to pay my bills
I'm having a bit of an issue with the pay of the job being thought of as a benefit, but I'm thinking it might've just been included in this video because it's a thing that's hard to tactfully ask about like the others
Why is the salary range not in the advert? Where I live paid vacation and health care is a given. Salary and benefits are all listed in the advertisement.
Pretty soft approach regarding job details that nearly every candidate will have a minimum on. If you have a hard salary minimum, hard PTO minimum, or mandatory remote, why waste time on multiple interviews and skills tests before learning you weren’t aligned?
Why is all of the corpo speak sound so dead. Why can't we just say what we mean?
I was wondering if anyone knew a good response to "No, I'm afraid I can't give you an exact salary number at this time?"? I kind of froze and didn't push the topic further.
Like how? What should I say if this would be my first job (with me having now job experience and a fresh graduate)?????
