@mrwoodandmrtin

Oh yes. That silver paint captures the spirit of B movie sci FI perfectly.
Everything is automatically way more exciting in that type of silver spray.
Red works.
Eyes very cool.
Walk is nice.
Is that plastic slightly flexible?
I'm thinking you are missing a trick not using clip fit type ridges and recesses to join things. The battery cover is heading slightly in that direction, but flex not friction is a good property to exploit..

@Lumibear.

Oh, wow, well, warm steady LEDs would undoubtedly be more accurate, but as it turns out the individual blinking really adds a more ‘robot brain activated’ look, doesn’t it?
The silver finish is great, and a slightly rough surface is kinda more period-correct.
LOVE his gait, the little teeter as he walks is just the icing on the cake. Great work!

@outsider238

Oh wow! That turned out fantastic! The silver paint really completes the look. Love the look of the way he walks. Excellent job as always! 😁

@Jupiter31416

I must confess that, at first glance, I didn't really like the design of this robot (as it originally appeared in the movie), but your final design/build gave the guy a boost! 👏👏
PS.: and in all your projects we can always take something from them in our own projects. Thanks for sharing!

@WarlockCore

very nice, I printed mine in resin, came out great, waiting for the motor but in the meantime airbrushing some chrome finish on him, thanks again for the info on where to get the electronics

@rick_100

It actually looks better than the one in the movie. What paint did you use? It adds a lot to the look. It walks very well.

@fredbloggs8072

It has a very satisfying gait as it walks along, with its slight sway from side to side. I love the shade of red you chose, goes great with the silver.

@paulcabrelli1863

Cool...... 👍

@jayducharme

That looks fantastic!

@OzziesRobots

Finished product Looks great! If you want to sell it lmk . Congrats on a great build !!

@toonman361

I am impressed by your mechanical abilities and ingenuity. Once again, you are the modern Leonardo Divinci! If you ever want to finance your ventures, selling completed robots might be the answer. I'd certainly buy one.

@potrzebieneuman4702

Very cool, like you I don't have the time to sand the crap out of PLA but I've noticed that the lines tend to be less noticeable after a quick rub down with sandpaper, couple of undercoats of primer followed by a couple of top coats. I've also converted my Ender 3 to a dual drive filament feeder and this makes a noticeable improvement.

@papajupe5319

That is amazing!!! Have you made the robot John from Voyage to The Prehistoric Planet?

@RCoryCollins

Great design and build!

@VjRobotkid

Great work!!! 🤖❤

@darrell271

Great work as usual.

@raviswami9852
